FIFA 23 Pro Clubs Best CAM Build: Play KILLER PASSES with EASE and break down any defence

Playing as a central attacking midfielder is one of the toughest roles in fifa 23 Pro Clubs, with plenty of assists expected and a few goals too.

You need to be able to operate in tight spaces, find killer passes, and be on the same wavelength as all your teammates when it comes to breaking down the opposition in the final third.

The best build means getting the right height, weight, attributes, archetypes and perks, as we will show you below.

NOTE: These player builds are based on what worked in FIFA 22, and will be updated accordingly when FIFA 23 is released.

Midfield Magician

  • Base Position: CAM

For this build, we are making an out-and-out CAM.

Some people may prefer using a CM for the base position, however, as we are solely focussing on this being an attacking midfielder we have opted for the CAM base.

A CAM can be a bit of a luxury player, as you won't get involved much in the defensive side of the game, and will instead wait around in space looking to spring quick counterattacks and hover around the edge of the box waiting to play that final killer ball.

Unless you are clinical with your Long Shots, try not to take pot shots too regularly and be more of a team player.

  • Height: 5'7" - 5'8"
  • Weight: 253lbs

That's right, we've given this build the maximum weight possible!

SMALL AND MIGHTY - Being short doesn't mean your pro will be a walkover

This comes at the cost of having slightly worse Acceleration and Agility, but it actually increases the passing stats whilst also making you a bit more physical and gives better Balance, which is important when looking to hold defenders off the ball and roll round them.

For once, Pace isn't at the top of your list for attributes to increase!

If you find yourself with some points to spare or feel like you're not able to keep up with the speed of the game, then add some on to Acceleration, but other than that, look to bump your technical abilities.

Passing is obviously the first place you will look to improve, and you will want to get to the Architect archetype as soon as you can.

There is no need to put anything into the Crossing skill tree, ending up with the Artist archetype (unless you are relied upon in your side to swing a load of balls into the box), as your base Crossing stat is pretty high already.

TURN ON A SIXPENCE - Boosting your dribbling stats will help you weave past players

We would then look to increase the Dribbling stats, with a focus on the Agility side, making your Virtual Pro feel very responsive in-game.

You will look to make it to the Lynx archetype eventually, but it is also important to make little improvements to your Ball Control and Dribbling attributes when you can too.

If you find yourself with some points to spare, adding them to increase Strength and Stamina is a great way to use them up, giving you a bit more help to hold the ball up and also power through the whole 90 minutes.

You may be very tempted to put some points into Long Shots and Shot Power, but this is a luxury move and should only be done if you have enough spare points or are especially deadly outside the box.

The archetypes you are aiming to give this build are:

  • Architect
  • Lynx
  • Maestro

The Architect archetype is your main goal, then we would recommend going for the Lynx before Maestro, but it is down to personal preference.

The best Perks to assign to your CAM build are:

  • Active First Touch - Better ball control, acceleration and sprint speed
  • Distance Shooter - Does what it says on the tin, also grants Finesse Shot, Outside Foot Shot and 5* Weak Foot
  • Light Passes - Increases your teammates’ ability to trap and control your passes
  • Pinpoint Cross - Increased crossing accuracy and ability, and gives the player Swerve, Flair, Early Crosser and 5* Weak Foot
  • Precision Pass - Improves shot and long pass accuracy and speed, and grants Swerve, Flair and 5* Weak Foot
  • Physical Strength - Boosted strength, ball control, and jumping when jostling, shielding, or heading the ball
  • Skilled Dribbler - Increases dribbling and skill moves, and gives Flair trait
  • Threaded Pass - Gives better through pass and lofted through pass accuracy, and grants Swerve, Flair and 5* Weak Foot
  • Tireless Runner - Grants Second Wind and Solid Player traits
