Joao Cancelo is set to leave Manchester City on loan before Tuesday's transfer window deadline.
The 28-year-old signed for City from Juventus back in 2019 and has made 98 Premier League appearances.
He has won two Premier League titles and the EFL Cup under Pep Guardiola.
Cancelo had previously been viewed as one of the key players in Guardiola's squad and his performances saw him named in the PFA Premier League team of the year for the last two seasons.
However, in a shocking move, it now looks like Cancelo will leave the Etihad this January.
Cancelo on the move
In a sensational swoop from the Bundesliga champions, Bayern Munich have reportedly secured the signature of Manchester City full-back Joao Cancelo.
The German league leaders have agreed to a deal that sees the 28-year-old move on an initial loan with a £61.5m option to buy in the summer.
Cancelo is said to be keen to take up the option of moving to Bayern in order to keep playing at the highest level possible with regular minutes.
The emergence of teenager Rico Lewis and Nathan Ake's improved form has left Pep Guardiola feeling content with his defensive options, although nobody would have predicted this move.
OTW Joao Cancelo (OVR 89)
Joao Cancelo's transfer to Bayern Munich will have ramifications in FIFA 23.
We expect EA to hand the versatile defender a Ones to Watch (OTW) item in the coming weeks, with his allegiances now lying with Bayern Munich.
The former Juventus player will take on the 89 OVR in-form rating on his OTW card, which he received for his inclusion in the Team of the Week (TOTW) 4 squad.
Cancelo's 89 OVR TOTW card still sells for 125,000 coins on the PlayStation and Xbox market, giving you an idea of just how good it really is.
The next time Cancelo is included in the TOTW, his OTW item will be bumped up to 90 OVR in Ultimate Team.
