With the European competitions' Round of 16 coming to an end, several Road to the Final (RTTF) cards are due to receive upgrades in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team.
The latest set of EUFA Champions League results determines three card upgrades which are now confirmed to go live in FUT 22 soon.
Marcos Llorente (OVR 88 - OVR 90)
Diego Simeone's Atletico Madrid secured a 1-0 victory at Old Trafford which made them 2-1 winners over the two legs which turned out to be relatively comfortable for the Spanish side.
This means that RTTF Marcos Llorente will receive a +2 OVR ontop of his 88-rated card, making him one of the most overpowered box-to-box CMs in the game.
Llorente's Ultimate Team price has already risen by around 70,000 coins to 790,000 coins after the Champions League win on Tuesday night.
Alex Telles (ELIMINATED)
Manchester United have been eliminated from the UEFA Champions League yet again at the Round of 16 after losing to Atletico Madrid.
The Red Devils showed a real lack of quality when in possession of the ball over the course of the two legs, along with ongoing defensive errors.
This means that Alex Telles's Road to the Final card will be getting NO more upgrades in FUT 22.
Lisandro Martinez (ELIMINATED)
Lisandro Martinez's Road to the Final item was made available to unlock for FREE as an objectives player during the RTTF promo.
Unfortunately for those of you who completed the Martinez objective, Dutch side Ajax were knocked out of the UCL by Benfica on Tuesday night at the Johan Cruyff Arena.
This means that Martinez will remain as an 87 OVR card in Ultimate Team.
RTTF upgrades explained
All Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference Road to the Final items start with an upgrade at the launch of the event.
From there, the player’s Road To The Final item receives a further upgrade each time their team succeeds at select stages throughout the tournament, as you can see in the image below.
The Road to the Final cards will be upgraded when a player's team:
- Wins 1st knockout game after campaign launch.
- Qualifies for Quarter-Finals.
- Qualifies for Semi-Finals.
- Qualifies for the Final.
- Wins the Final.
Road to the Final players do not need to be selected or have played in each stage to receive an upgrade.
If a player is no longer on the roster of a club in either tournament, they will not receive any further upgrades.
Likewise, if a player’s team gets knocked out of either tournament, they will no longer receive any upgrades.
Once a certain round of the competition is over, Road To The Final items could take up to a few days to update in-game.
