EA's flagship FIFA franchise has never featured in the PS Plus games list, but that will change next month!
Originally, a reliable leaker suggested that FIFA 22 could be the first FIFA title in history to feature as part of PlayStation's subscription service, and now that has been confirmed.
The official release will arrive soon, so keep your eyes peeled for Kylian Mbappe lurking somewhere!
PS Plus May 2022
We tend to see the announcement of next month's PS Plus games on the last Wednesday of every month.
This is again the case for PS Plus in May 2022, with the official PS blog post going live on Wednesday, 27 April.
All three games will be available to download and play on Tuesday, 3 May.
FIFA 22 coming soon
As first seen on Dealabs (in French), FIFA 22 was rumoured to be one of the new games redeemable as part of your PS Plus subscription next month.
Translate, the statement read as follows:
"Hello everyone, it seems that this month will delight a good part of PS5 / PS4 players (Even if the last 2 games are very good).
"Yes, for the first time in the history of Playstation Plus, a FIFA game will be part of the list of games of the month, and not just any game since it will be the last (and the last to bear this name apparently)."
Despite the uncertainty surrounding the future of the title, FIFA 22 being included in May's PS Plus games is a big win.
The two other games arriving next month have also been named along with FIFA 22.
Curse of the Dead Gods (PS4) will see you begin a quest for immortality, needing to navigate a host of monsters, puzzles, and traps along the way.
The other game set to arrive is Tribes of Midgard (PS4/PS5), offering you a co-op experience as you fend off hordes of invaders and other evil beings.
You must defend the Sprout of Yggdrasil, a sacred tree you are sworn to protect in an attempt to prevent doomsday!
