EA is yet to release any official nominees for Ligue 1’s April Player of the Month.
The SBC for March’s Player of the Month Martin Terrier does not expire until Thursday, 12 May, so we could be waiting a couple more weeks for April’s announcement.
Lionel Messi
Lionel Messi has scored more goals in the Champions League than in Ligue 1 this season, but his form in April was what we are more accustomed to seeing from the GOAT.
Three assists and two goals in four appearances may not trump his PSG teammates, but it is still an impressive return.
Kylian Mbappe
Simply sensational. Kylian Mbappe has recorded a phenomenal 12 goal involvements in April, with ten of them arriving in the first two games!
Mbappe’s total of seven goals and five assists in just four games is ridiculous, and surely it means he will win another Player of the Month award.
Neymar
Just like his PSG teammates, Neymar has also been in amongst the goals this month, scoring six and providing two assists.
Like Messi, the Brazilian has appeared just four times this month which could swing the votes in his favour.
Moussa Dembele
French forward Moussa Dembele has taken on the armband at Lyon in recent weeks, and it seems to have brought the best out of the former Celtic star.
Six goals and an assist in April have earned Lyon three wins and a draw, although their quest for European football next season looks all but over.
Martin Terrier
March’s Player of the Month winner Martin Terrier has continued his excellent form into April, and he has now scored ten goals in as many matches.
The Rennes winger scored once in each of his side’s matches this month, putting him firmly on our shortlist for the individual accolade.
