Players experiencing these FIFA server woes reported the typical error message, which states "Unable to connect to the EA servers at this time. Please check your network connection or try again later."

The timing was terrible, with many users getting in their last few Weekend League matches before the window expired at 3am ET / 8am BST on Wednesday, 18 May.
