It's been a difficult road for Cyberpunk 2077 thus far.
Things should change for the better with the first significant update to the game, Patch 1.1, which is just around the corner.
What we want to see
It's tricky to know where to start when it comes to Cyberpunk - so we've had a dig into what needs to be changed in the upcoming patch.
One area that needs to be improved is the frame rate.
Major frame rate augments would optimize the game so that there are fewer dips when players are performing a variety of actions, as simple as walking through the streets of Night City.
Release Date Window
The next update for the game, Cyberpunk Update 1.1, will be arriving in just a few days!
This will be followed up by the 1.2 patch shortly after.
In a roadmap video released by CD Projekt Red on January 13th, it was stated that the next update, the 1.1 patch, will be released in around 10 days time.
This will put the release date around Saturday January 23rd.
These two updates are said to "fix the most prominent problems" when it comes to the last gen ports.
- Dum Dum will no longer go missing from Totentanz entrance during Second Conflict.
- Improved memory management and stability, resulting in fewer crashes.
- Removed the 8 MB save file size limit. Note: this won’t fix save files corrupted before the update.
The 1.06 update was 18GB in size, about 1/3 of the total games size.
1.07 is expected to be even larger as it addresses the majority of the early issues the game has.
It's been confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 DLC is coming in 2021! While expectations were an early 2021 release, latest updates from CD Projekt Red suggest a mid-2021 DLC pack is more likely.
There is no official word on what the DLC will be, but CDPR did promise numerous pieces of free content in addition to later paid DLC.
