Black Ops Cold War Season 3 is due to start this week and we're here to talk about the new Battle Pass. We don't know what's in-store just yet but we do know that it's going to be great!
LATEST - Straight To Verdansk
We've finally got another cinematic trailer for Black Ops Cold War! It essentially confirms what we all thought, though. Adler is headed to Verdansk and so are Woods, Wolf, Rivas, and his team.
You can check it out in the Tweet from Treyarch below:
With it looking like Verdansk is headed to the 80s in Warzone, it could mean that we're getting a much more "80s" themed Battle Pass next season. Call of Duty is its' best when it pushes the boundaries a little bit and we think a series of fun, ultra-colourful costumes for all of our favourite Operators could be a great addition to the title.
Nuke Event Hints At Season 3 Start
It has been a long time since the first rumours of a "Nuke Event" in Warzone popped up, but it looks like we're finally coming to the end of the long wait and approaching the launch of both Warzone and Black Ops Cold War Season 3.
From the tweet below, we can tell that something is going to happen on April 21st at 12:00 PST / 15:00 EST / 20:00 BST.
Although there is still no explicit mention of the "Nuke Event", it seems pretty surefire at this point. But, this is a little later in the day than your average title update.
So, we're inclined to think that we might have to wait another week after this for the start of Black Ops Cold War Season 3 and the new Battle Pass. Only time will tell, though...
Release Date & Price
If we look at the current Battle Pass, we can see that Black Ops Cold War's Season 3 Battle Pass should release on April 22nd, just a day after the current season ends.
Obviously, this isn't set in stone as last-minute delays are fairly commonplace in this industry. However, we can imagine that Treyarch are already fairly prepared for the next season and we're certain that they'll want to keep up the pace with new content going forwards.
The Black Ops Cold war Season 3 Battle Pass will cost 1,000 COD Points to unlock. Alternatively, there is an option to buy the Battle Pass and the first 25 Tiers for 2,400 COD Points.
100 Tiers of Rewards
Like Season Two, we're expecting the next Black Ops Cold War Battle Pass to have 100 Tiers for players to grind out for awesome rewards. There will be both free and paid rewards, but all the good stuff is usually held for players who buy the Battle Pass and we doubt Season 3 is going to change that.
We're not fully sure about what's coming, but we know it'll have everything you expect from a Call of Duty Battle Pass. This means we're getting Calling Cards, Emblems, Weapon Blueprints, War Tracks, Operator Skins and more.
Although there hasn't been official word on the next Double XP Weekend, we could see a Double Triple weekend event at the start of the new season to celebrate its' launch. Usually, Double XP Weekends don't include Battle Pass Tiers but they have been appearing more regularly over the last few months.
Rumours for the next Black Ops Cold War Battle Pass have actually been pretty quiet this season with discussions on the new Warzone map dominating the discourse.
This being said, we do know that Mason is rumoured to be an Operator next season and this means he could appear in the Battle Pass as the Tier 1 AND Tier 100 Reward, like Naga did this season.
In addition to this, we could be looking at two new melee weapons in the Black Ops Cold War Season 3 Battle Pass. Although they don't usually get added, with Treyarch favouring actual guns... It might be time to change things up a bit, right?

The Ballistic Knife and Baseball Bat are two of the new leaked weapons, however, we don't know anything official about either of these.
