Warzone's Verdansk has been under threat for a little while now and we're starting to think it'll never end. Thankfully, we've finally got an "event date" from Activision. Here's everything we know about it...
LATEST - The End Is Coming
We finally know when something will happen! It seems like it's been going on for a long time but we now know when the mysterious "nuke event" might kick off and it lines up with the possible start date of Warzone Season 3.
In the tweet below, you can clearly see that some sort of event is due to take place on April 21st at 12:00 PST / 15:00 EST / 20:00 BST.
This is a little later in the day than the usual "Reset" time, though. Therefore, it could be a way to kick off Season 3 at its start, after it goes live around 11:00 EST / 18:00 BST. Alternatively, it could still begin a week later and this would just be the climactic moment of the "Zombie Invasion".
Annoyingly, we still don't know for sure just yet.
For weeks now, the threat of nuclear annihilation has been looming over Verdansk and now it looks like we're ever-so-slightly closer to the climactic finale of this ongoing event.
Missiles are flying overhead, Zombies are roaming the various POIs, there are in-game "Containment Warnings" and Bombardments...

We want to know what's happening next, but when will we find out? When is Warzone Season 3 due to start?
80s Themed Map
According to leakers, the new map will be 80s themed.
ZestyCODLeaks said that all of the POIs will return but in an "old fashioned way".
It'll be interesting to see how the locations look and whether there'll be any 80s themed Easter Eggs added.
Warzone Season 3 Release Date
If we want to know when Verdansk is going to get blown up and when Warzone Season 3 begins, we know the one place worth looking... Season Two.
The current season of Warzone is due to end on April 21st if we look at the current Battle Pass. With this in mind, we could be seeing Warzone Season 3 release on April 22nd or a week after this date on April 29th.
Activision, Raven Software, and any Call of Duty developer really, isn't a stranger to delaying an in-game update by a week or so if things aren't tidied up and ready to go.

However, with the fact that it's pretty certain that Verdansk is going to be hit with at least one Nuke... Delaying Season 3 would either have players dropping into a giant Verdansk-sized crater or completely undo any meta-narrative they are working on.
