FC 25 is almost here and with the new football season already in full force, the hype surrounding the game is through the roof.
Fans are eager to get their hands on the game and try out the improved Carrer mode, start their Ultimate Team journey again, and join forces with their friends to take their Club to new heights.
FC 25 Release Date
FC 25 will launch on Friday, 27 September 2024, but players who buy the FC 25 Ultimate Edition will have access to the game on Friday, 20 September, seven days earlier than the official launch.
The game will be released on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch platforms. As usual, the old-gen platforms won't include all of the new features.
FC 25 Cover Star
Real Madrid and England wonderkid Jude Bellingham is the cover star of FC 25. After a sparkling season, it's not a big surprise to see him take the cover spot from Erling Haaland for the Standard Edition.
The Ultimate Edition has a few faces on its cover. Bellingham is joined by female superstar Atiana Bonmati and three legends of the game, David Beckham, Zinedine Zidane, and Gianluigi Buffon.
FC 25 New Features
With every new iteration of the game, there are a slew of updates, changes, and new features. Some years implement more changes than others, and this year looks to be a big one—although we won't know until we can go hands-on.
The most significant change will be the removal of the Volta game mode; instead, a new Rush game mode will be integrated across Ultimate Team, Clubs, Career Mode, and Kick Off. It is a 5v5 game emphasizing time on the ball with four outfield players and a goalkeeper without any fixed positions.
On top of this, changes are coming to Career Mode, Ultimate Team, Clubs, and the general gameplay experience, which we've outlined in detail.
Rush Game Mode
The Rush Deep Dive provided players with a first look at the new FC 25 game mode, which aims to deliver a unique gaming experience.
Rush is a 5V5 game mode, with very different rules from the 11v11 mode. The game mode is much more dynamic, as it delivers a fast-paced experience, with few interruptions.
Some of the major differences between Rush and all the other game modes in FC 25 are, no half-times, no red cards, short-term stamina loss, a smaller pitch, and a unique kick-off experience.
Players will be able to enjoy Rush in Ultimate Team, Clubs, Kick-off, and Career mode.
Career Mode New Features
The Career Mode deep dive gave fans the chance to take a long look at everything that is to come this year.
EA has put the spotlight on features such as FC IQ, Live Start Points, the Rush Game mode, the revamped player development, and the introduction of women's leagues.
These changes are a step in the right direction and will make Career Mode more immersive and enjoyable to play. However, the community reaction is mixed.
EA Sports could have done more, but after years of neglecting Career Mode, these changes are a breath of fresh air and should be celebrated.
FC 25 Player Ratings
Player ratings are among the most anticipated features in any upcoming EA FC game. EA usually drops the top 100 player ratings a week before the game releases.
While the official ratings still haven't been announced, the top 50 ratings have been leaked. The same happened to the ratings of some of the biggest clubs in the world, such as Manchester City, Bayern Munich, and Chelsea, among others.
Career Mode seems to be taking a step in the right direction, and with some new players set to hit the next version of EA FC, RealSport 101 predicted the best wonderkids in FC 25.
With the game inching closer and closer to its release date, it's expected EA Sports will reveal the last pieces of information about the title.
