Apex Legends Switch should be live any time soon, so we've got the latest update you need to know.
Latest - What the Release Time Is
While we thought it would arrive alongside the Chaos Theory event at 1pm ET/6pm GMT, it seems like the release time is now a vague "this evening."
Since Respawn usually release times in PT, you'll have to wait until around 4-8pm PT for the Switch version of Apex Legends to launch.
Therefore, if you're in Europe or Asia, you might have to wait until tomorrow to finally get to play it.
Death Dealer Rampart Skin Revealed
Apex Legends is full speed ahead toward the Chaos Theory Collection Event, and we are still getting new reveals - including the new Death Dealer Rampart skin.
The Chaos Theory Collection Event goes live in Apex Legends on March 9th, the same day as Apex Legends arrives on Nintendo Switch, and you can see its new Rampart skin in action below.
It has also been confirmed that Apex Legends will require 30GB of free space on Switch.
Therefore, you might want to get your hard drive prepared ahead of time.
Apex Legends Switch Release Date
The battle royale will come to Switch on Tuesday, 9 March.
It's not clear quite yet what time it will be live, but it'll probably be alongside the new update that's due to come on the same day.
Keep an eye out on the eShop for when it finally launches.
A new trailer has also released this week, showcasing what Apex Legends will look like on Switch.
Since it is battle royale on a smaller screen or less powerful system, it'll look different to how it does on other consoles or PC. You can check out the trailer below.
Last year, when the Switch port of Apex Legends was announced, EA confirmed that crossplay will be a feature in the new version. They said:
"This fall you’ll be able to squad up no matter what platform your friends prefer - Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Switch, or on PC via Origin and Steam."
That being said, there will be no cross progression in the game still.
While you'll be able to play with friends on any system, you won't be able to bring your character over from elsewhere and continue progression.
Apex Legends Chaos Theory Collection Event
As we said, Apex Legends will come to Switch alongside the new Chaos Theory Collection Event of the battle royale.
The new event will be led by Caustic and will provide plenty of new opportunities for unlocking skins and gear.
You can get a little bit of info in the new trailer for the event, but it'll probably feature more challenges to complete, new timed cosmetics to get your hands on, and more.
We'll have more on the Switch release of Apex Legends as it is revealed, so check back with us here.
