Is Apex Legends Cross-Platform?
Good news for Apex Fans: Apex Legends is fully cross-platform. This means whether you're playing on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo Switch, you can play with your friends on any of the above.
Unfortunately, Apex Legends is not cross-play enabled with mobile, but stay tuned as mobile could be further tied into the main game in the future.
How to Enable Cross-Play in Apex Legends
Cross-play is automatically enabled in Apex Legends, and you'll be matched up against players from all consoles. If you want to drop into Kings Canyon with your friends though, follow these steps to add them:
- Go to the Friends menu.
- Click Find Friend.
- Type in their EA Public ID. You can also go to your Privacy Settings and change how players can search you by going to Allow users to search for me by and checking:
- Email address
- PSN™ Online ID for PlayStation 4 and 5
- Xbox Live® gamertag for Xbox One and X|S
- Nintendo Nickname for Nintendo Switch
Once your friends accept your friend request, you'll be able to see what platform they're playing on in the friends menu.
Is Apex Legends Cross-Progression?
Unfortunately, Apex Legends does not have cross-progression enabled, so you'll want to stick to one. You won't be able to carry over your rank, items, or achievements.
While this is a shame for players who have more than one platform at their disposal, it helps keep ranked play balanced, as there are advantages to different consoles.
