WoW Shadowlands Season 4 COUNTDOWN: Release Time & Latest News


The end nears for World of Warcraft's afterlife-themed expansion, Shadowlands, as its Season 4 will possibly mark the last major content update until the upcoming expansion, WoW Dragonflight, and its pre patch.

It'll also usher in new forms of PvE-centered content such as a new Mythic+ affix, an updated Mythic+ dungeon pool, the new Fated Raids, Class changes, and more.

WoW Shadowlands Season 4 Release Date & Time

Following Shadowlands Season 3's end, Shadowlands Season 4 will begin on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, with the weekly reset.

Players can expect the update to be in-game following the weekly reset maintenance, which is expected to end at around 6pm EST. To make sure you don't miss out on all of the new features coming to Shadowlands, follow along with our countdown below!

Shadowlands Season 4 Arrival Time

Once it's live in-game, players will have a new Mythic+ affix, an updated Mythic+ dungeon pool, the Shadowlands Fated Raids difficulties, and more.

As always, maintenance hours are a rough estimate, meaning that servers could go live before or after the time allotted by Blizzard.

WoW Shadowlands Season 4 Patch Notes Highlights

WoW Shadowlands Season 4 will almost bring new forms of life to the game as with the new Mythic+ additions and the new Fated Raids, players will have tons of more content to enjoy.

With that, here are the highlights of Shadowlands Season 4.

  • Fated Raids
    • Each week one of the three Shadowlands raids (Castle Nathria, Sanctum of Domination, or Sepulcher of the First Ones) will become Fated, alongside any of the World Bosses related to the perspective raids.
    • In Fated raids, enemies and bosses will have adjusted stats, making them more difficult.
    • Each boss encounter will be empowered by one of four unique Fated Powers.
      • Creation Spark
      • Reconfiguration Emitter
      • Protoform Barrier
      • Chaotic Essence
    • Puzzling Cartel Dinars
      • Entering any Shadowlands raid in Season 4 will start the quest "Crossing Fate", kicking off a questline that will reward players for participating in Fated Raids over a number of weeks with a new currency: up to 3 Puzzling Cartel Dinar.
      • Puzzling Cartel Dinars can be traded for trinkets, weapons, and unique items across the 3 Shadowlands raids at Fated Normal quality (item level 278-285)
  • New Mythic+ Affix: Shrouded
    • Nathrezim infiltrators have disguised themselves among the enemies throughout the dungeon. Cartel Ta will reward you handsomely for assisting in their capture.
  • New Mythic+ Dungeon Pool
    • Season 4 features a new dungeon rotation for Mythic+. New Mythic Dungeon Keystones obtained from Shadowlands dungeons will be for one of the following dungeons:
      • Tazavesh: Streets of Wonder (from the Shadowlands expansion)
      • Tazavesh: So'leah’s Gambit (from the Shadowlands expansion)
      • Operation Mechagon: Junkyard (from the Battle for Azeroth expansion)
      • Operation Mechagon: Workshop (from the Battle for Azeroth expansion)
      • Return to Karazhan: Lower (from the Legion expansion)
      • Return to Karazhan: Upper (from the Legion expansion)
      • Grimrail Depot (from the Warlords of Draenor expansion)
      • Iron Docks (from the Warlords of Draenor expansion)
  • New PVP Season
  • Class Changes
