World of Warcraft: Dragonflight has been revealed as the franchise's next expansion, and it's already looking very exciting.

Bringing a new race, the Dracthyr, a new class, the Evoker, and plenty of other brand-new features to the game, players of the popular MMORPG will have their hands full come launch day.

To get ahead of the action and earn some extra rewards along the way, players will have the option to put in WoW Dragonflight pre-orders first.

With that in mind, here are all the details surrounding pre-ordering WoW Dragonflight, including what we can expect for its release date, price, editions, and rewards.

WoW Dragonflight Release Date & Pre Order Date

As of right now, WoW Dragonflight has no official release date, however, based on the shop for the expansion's pre-order information, Dragonflight will be releasing on or before December 31, 2022.

EARLY: An early 2023 release date is likely for Dragonflight

This can largely be attributed to Shadowlands' irregularities of only having two patches with a substantial length in between, Blizzard's pattern of expansion reveal to release date, and the two-year separation between expansions.

Like expansion release dates, expansion pre-orders tend to follow a pattern of their own, though they are notably more sporadic.

We've seen some expansions available for pre-order less than a month out from launch with others open more than six months out—the latter is the more constant pattern.

However, thanks to the recent announcement, players can go ahead and pre-order Dragonflight right now. They can do so via the shop.

For WoW Dragonflight, all of the editions have gone up $10, which means that players can purchase the Base Edition at $49.99, the Heroic Edition at $69.99, the Epic Edition at $89.99, and the Collector's Edition at $129.00
