Let's go over everything we know about the upcoming game!
You can step into the cockpit on 2nd October, which is this Friday!
If there's one thing that Star Wars fans love (in general!) it's an awesome cinematic trailer. Take a look at this showstopper, and tell us you're not excited to get into the hot seat!

Take a look at the first, dramatic trailer for the game!
Although it doesn't show much gameplay, we cannot wait to get aboard those Rebel fighter planes!
The official press release has told us the game is arriving on Xbox One, PS4, VR, and PC - with Cross-play Support.
Squadrons is the second EA game in the space of a week to be confirmed for Cross-platform, following Need for Speed Heat.
Will it be backwards compatible?
The feature makes it possible to play old-gen titles on the next-gen systems, and allegedly increases the performance of the game when doing so.
We don't know for sure just yet if the title will be playable on next-gen consoles. We've certainly got our fingers crossed, however!
Unsurprisingly, Star Wars fans and others were quick to ask about pre-orders!
It would be a fair assumption to make that pre-orders will be available ahead of the release.
We'll be sure to let you know the quickest and best way to pre-order, the second we find out!
There's a ton of new gameplay features in the game, from dogfights & fleet battles all the way to different ships and their roles within the fight.
A very exciting element is the potential high level manouvers that can be made by advanced palyers.
Shifting shields, diverting energy to thrusters, and more can be achieved to pull off some show-stopping finishers!
STAR SQUAD - Who will line up alongside you?
One of the most exciting parts of the Star Wars Universe is the immense and expansive story.
We now know that the title will take place after the events of The Return of the Jedi.
That means - 'there is no death star', but there will be a ton of new and exciting maps to do battle on.
We can also expect to see some 'familiar faces' in the game, much like in Battlefront II we assume!
