The UEFA Nations League competition returns over the next two weeks with teams battling it out in their respective divisions in the hope of advancing to the knockout stages of the competition.

England has had a torrid start to their Nations League campaign, claiming just two points from their opening four group stage games against Hungary, Germany and Italy.

Most concerning for Gareth Southgate's side are the 1-0 and 4-0 defeats at the hands of group underdogs Hungary with the pressure now piled on for the upcoming group stage games.

Some fans are already looking ahead to the latter stages of the 2022/23 Nations League competition, so here is all the key information you need ahead of the Nations League final.

When is the Nations League Final 2022/23?

The 2022/23 Nations League competition will reach its final stage in June of 2023 following the completion of the group stage period.

The semi-finals are currently scheduled to be played on the 14th and 15th of June, 2023, while the final of the competition will take place on June 18th.

Can England make the Nations League Final?

For the 2022/23 Nations League competition, the four group stage winners from the A division will progress to the semi-finals, meaning England would have to top their group ahead of Italy, Germany and Hungary.

Given the tough start to the campaign, this seems increasingly unlikely, with the goal now to avoid relegation from the group stage into UEFA Nations League B.

Upcoming games will be key for Gareth Southgate if England is to remain in Nations League A.
