2nd Inning Program goes live in MLB The Show 21


MLB The Show 21 has promised to bring new content to the game on a regular basis, and that continues with the 2nd Inning Program which is live now in Diamond Dynasty.

2ND INNING: It's time for a new program in The Show

Start Date: May 7, 2021 at 12pm PT (2pm CT/3pm ET)

End Date: June 4, 2021 at 12pm PT (2pm CT/3pm ET)

Players will have four weeks to work their way through the 2nd Inning Program to secure rewards through XP they gain all across MLB The Show 21.

New 2nd Inning Conquest Map

Conquest is one of the best ways to earn XP and get stubs in MLB The Show 21, and that continues with a new Conquest map.

MARTIAN CONQUEST: Dominate the new map as soon as possible

The 2nd Inning Martian Map is now live in Diamond Dynasty, but it expires along with the 2nd Inning Program on June 4, 2021 at 12pm PT.

That means players only have until then to conquer territories, claim hidden rewards, and finish their full Martian domination.

Legends Revealed as 2nd Inning Bosses

The top rewards in the 2nd Inning Program are the three Legends chosen to be the 2nd Inning Bosses, and this time that includes a new name.

NEW BOSSES: These three Legends are your 2nd Inning goal

Don Mattingly and Lee Smith will be two of the three, and the third is new Diamond Dynasty Legend Jason Bay.

Players will have to work their way through the 2nd Inning Program to earn the 2nd Inning Bosses Choice Pack to claim one of these three.

CHIPPING AWAY: Start earning XP now to claim these rewards

While there's a space theme running through the program overall, this reward track is filled with packs and items that'll help you all across MLB The Show 21.

Completing any games or playing anywhere in MLB The Show 21 will earn you XP for the 2nd Inning Program, but the following specific tasks can give you a big boost.

2nd Inning Missions

These three missions give some big XP chunks in the 2nd Inning Program, and you'll earn a decent amount of XP just by playing the games required to finish these missions.

  • Competitive Dubs: Win 10 games in Ranked Seasons, Battle Royale, or Events (5,000 XP)
  • 21 Run Street: Score 21 runs with Prospect, Rookie, or Breakout series players in Ranked Seasons, Battle Royale, or Events (7,500 XP)
  • Speed Demon: Tally 10 stolen bases in Ranked Seasons, Battle Royale, or Events (5,000 XP)

2nd Inning Martian Conquest Rewards

One of the best ways to earn XP towards the 2nd Inning Program will be completing all of the goals in the 2nd Inning Martian Conquest map.

You'll get a cumulative 2,500 XP for completing each of the individual goals, and you'll also be rewarded a full 25,000 XP once they're all knocked out.

2nd Inning Collection of 1st Inning Bosses

If you were able to work your way through the 1st Inning Program in MLB The Show 21 and secure one of the three 1st Inning Bosses via that pack, you'll be one third of your way to a major XP boost.

One way you can earn XP for the 2nd Inning Program is by completing the three-card collection of each of the 1st Inning Bosses.

THE OLD BOSSES: Collect these 1st Inning Bosses now

By collecting Fernando Valenzuela, Kenny Lofton, and Mike Piazza, you'll earn 15,000 Stubs for the collection and 50,000 XP for that task in the 2nd Inning Program.

If you're looking to acquire them in the Community Market, it'll be costly as each is currently going for between 40,000 and 50,000 Stubs.
