Madden 23 is closing in fast on the title's worldwide release date along with Early Access and the arrival of the EA Play Trial.

We've got everything you need to know about exactly when you'll get the chance to play Madden 23.

When can you play Madden 23?

Another year brings another installment, and Madden 23 is poised to be one of the biggest steps forward they've seen in quite some time.

With fans already itching to get in on the action, many are wondering exactly when Madden 23 will arrive for players.

While the official Madden 23 release date is set for Friday, August 19, 2022 at approximately Midnight ET, that's not actually the earliest fans will be able to play it.

YOU MAKE THE CALLS: Another year is almost here for Madden

If you're hoping to get in even earlier, there are two options which will depend on whether you're already committed to buying the game.

If you know you're buying Madden 23, the best option is to secure your pre order with the link above for the All Madden Edition.

This will grant you Early Access to the full unrestricted game, but there's another (cheaper) way for those still on the fence.

When do Early Access and the EA Play Trial begin?

The launch of Madden 23 got a major simplification this year as they've lined up the launch times for the EA Play Trial and Early Access.

Both ways to play will go live on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at approximately Midnight ET, but only the Trial will be limited to 10 hours of gameplay.

Listings on the PlayStation Store have the unlock time set to Midnight ET, or Monday, August 15, 2022 at 11pm CT, for clarity.

It's not clear when players will be able to pre-download the title, but that usually goes live in the few days before.

Xbox users should be able to pre-load earliest by using the Xbox app even before they've purchased the game.

However, it's important to note that these ideal launch times could face delays, as EA has struggled in the past to send the trial live at a scheduled time.

Making the launch of the EA Play Trial and Early Access simultaneous will hopefully streamline that process this year to face minimal hiccups.
