Madden 23: Can you request a trade in Face of the Franchise?

When you first begin a new save in Face of the Franchise: The League, you must make a decision about which team to sign with.

While past years had dropped players in as a rookie, this year's Career Mode story instead places you at the start of year five fresh off the end of a four-year initial contract.

With intermittent playing time during that period, teams are only offering one-year "prove it" deals to see if you can truly live up to your potential.

It's possible that a trade scenario could appear in later seasons, but so far we've not found any circumstance where you can request a trade in Madden 23 Face of the Franchise.

How do you switch teams in Face of the Franchise?

While you can't directly request a trade in Madden 23 Face of the Franchise, that doesn't mean you're stuck with the same team forever.

Madden 23 sticks to the contracts that have been established, but about halfway through your first season you may be approached about an extension.

In most cases, you'll be better off declining that offer and waiting for the offseason, especially if you are wondering about signing with a different team.

If you have a successful and dominant season, you'll have significantly better offers across the board when the Free Agency phase begins, including from your current team.

After a record-breaking season, our Free Agency offers were mostly two or three year long contracts, and we had an offer from every single team.

The process of choosing a team the next time around is basically the same as choosing which team you start with, just with longer terms in place.

As far as we can tell so far, Free Agency contracts are the only way to switch teams in Face of the Franchise.
