The Genshin Impact 2.8 Beta is full steam, which opens the opportunity for tons of new information about the next update in the game, including plenty of leaks.

Here's all of the latest Genshin Impact 2.8 leaks, some confirmed and some unconfirmed, from the beta, data mining, and beyond.

Genshin Impact 2.8 Weapons

Genshin Impact 2.8 will break the pattern of giving both a free weapon and a new character.

The new 4-star sword seems to be the reward of the Kazuha story quest, and rumors state that the weapon will obtain its name after the quest is complete.

New 4-star Unknown Weapon Stats

• Base ATK: 541
• ATK: 41.3%
• Passive: When a Normal, Charged, or Plunging Attack hits an opponent, it will whip up a Hewing Gale, dealing AoE DMG equal to 180% of ATK and increasing ATK by 15% for 8s. This effect can be triggered once every 8s.

Without a new 5-star character, all weapons of the banners will be reruns, most likely the Signature of the featured character.

Genshin Impact 2.8 Spiral Abyss

The Spiral Abyss the ultimate combat challenge in the game, usually change based on the characters of the patch.

• Spiral Abyssal Blessing of the Moon Phase 1
  • When a character takes the field, they will 1 Fortitude stack every 2s.
  • Every fortitude stack increases ATK by 20%. Max 3 stacks. When maximum stacks are reached, every time the character's Charged Attack hits an enemy, a shockwave will be unleashed at the enemy's location with a radius of 3 meters, DMG coefficient of 7.49, cooldown 2s. All effects are cleared after the character leaves the field.
• Spiral Abyss Blessing of the Moon Phase 2
  • Every time a character triggers a Swirl in enemies, their DEF will be decreased by 12% for 10s.
  • Max 3 stacks. Stacks are counted independently.
• Spiral Abyssal Blessing of the Moon Phase 3
  • After the character Normal, Charged and Plunged attack hit opponents, the character DMG is increased by 12% for 8s.
  • The effect can be triggered every 0.1s. Max 4 stacks. The buff is clear when the character leaves the field.

Shikanoin Heizou

The only new character of the Version 2.8 is the Tenryou Commission detective, Shikanoin Heizou, a 4-star Anemo character and Catalyst User.

• Heizou Weapon Screen

Heizou is the first male catalyst user, but instead of long-ranged slow attacks, Heizou is a melee fighter that uses his fists and kicks to inflict damage to enemies.

Heizou is a young character, a bit taller than Xiao.

Heizou's Abilities

• Normal Attacks: Fudou Style Martial Arts
  • Normal Attack
    • Performs up to 5 fisticuffs empowered by a mighty wind, dealing Anemo DMG.
  • Charged Attack
    • Consumes a certain amount of Stamina and performs a sweeping kick that deals Anemo DMG.
  • Plunging Attack
    • Calling upon the surging wind, Heizou plunges towards the ground from mid-air, damaging all opponents in his path. Deals AoE Anemo DMG upon impact with the ground.
• Elemental Skill: Heartstopper Strike
  • Tap: Wields the swift winds to launch a Heartstopper Strike that deals Anemo DMG.
  • Hold: Charges energy to unleash an even stronger blow. He will obtain the Declension effect while charging, which will increase the power of the Heartstopper Strike.
  • When the skill button is released or the skill finishes charging, he will strike forward, dealing Anemo DMG.
  • Declension: Increases the power of the next Heartstopper Strike. Max 4 stacks.
    • When you possess 4 Declension stacks, the Conviction effect will be produced, which will cause the next Heartstopper Strike to be even stronger and have a larger AoE.

• Elemental Burst: Windmuster Kick
  • Leaps into the air and uses the Fudou Style Vacuum Slugger to explosively kick his opponent, dealing AoE Anemo DMG.
  • When Vacuum Slugger hits opponents affected by Hydro/Pyro/Cryo/Electro, these opponents will be afflicted with Windmuster Iris, which will explode after a moment and deal AoE DMG of the corresponding aforementioned elemental type.
  • Vacuum Slugger can afflict a maximum of 4 opponents with the Windmuster Iris.
  • A single opponent cannot be under the effect of Windmuster Irises of different elements at the same time

Heizou's Passives

Heizou Passive increase his World Exploration abilties, with the third passive making him more viable as a suport character.

• Passive: Pre-Existing Guilt

  • Decreases sprinting Stamina consumption for your own party members by 20%.
  • Not stackable with Passive Talents that provide the exact same effects.

• Passive: Paradoxical Practice (Lv. 40)

  • When Shikanoin Heizou activates a Swirl reaction while on the field, he will gain 1 Declension stack for Heartstopper Strike.
  • This effect can be triggered once every 0.1 seconds.

• Passive: Penetrative Reasoning (Lv. 60)

  • After Shikanoin Heizou’s Heartstopper Strike hits an opponent, increases all party members’ (excluding Shikanoin Heizou) Elemental Mastery by 80 for 10 seconds.

Heizou's Constellations

  • For 5 seconds after Shikanoin Heizou takes the field, his Normal Attack SPD is increased by 15%. He also gains 1 Declension stack for Heartstopper Strike. This effect can be triggered once every 10 seconds.
• Investigative Collection
  • When the Fudou Style Vacuum Slugger created by Windmuster Kick explodes, it will pull nearby opponents in.
• Esoteric Puzzle Book
  • Increases the Level of Heartstopper Strike by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15.
• Tome of Lies
  • The first Windmuster Iris explosion in each Windmuster Kick will regenerate 9 Elemental Energy for Shikanoin Heizou. Every subsequent explosion in that Windmuster Kick will each regenerate an additional 1.5 Energy for Heizou.
  • One Windmuster Kick can regenerate a total of 13.5 Energy for Heizou in this manner.
• Secret Archive
  • Increases the Level of Windmuster Kick by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15.
• Curious Casefiles
  • Each Declension stack will increase the CRIT Rate of the Heartstopper Strike unleashed by 4%. When Heizou possesses Conviction, this Heartstopper Strike’s CRIT DMG is increased by 32%.

  • Increases all party members' ATK by 66–95 for 300s. On the tender, moist scrambled eggs lies a juicy katsu fried to golden perfection, its aroma most enticing indeed.

Genshin Impact 2.8 Enemies

We finally have details of the new enemies coming to the game in the next Spiral Abyss before the release of Sumeru. Along with them, current enemies are receiving the following adjustments.

• Specters - Base HP from 27.168 to 21.7344
• Nobushi and Kairagi - ATK increased by Levels slightly reduce.

Genshin Impact 2.8 New Skins

The Golden Apple Archipelago is back and with it, we will receive a new batch of Skins for Fischl and Diluc.

Fischl is free by completing challenges in the main event, while Diluc skins will be discounted during the duration of the version 2.8

Genshin Impact 2.8 Golden Apple Archipelago

The Golden Apple Archipelago is back, however, players can expect different islands and new mechanism and world items.

The beautiful seems to be the scenario of the main event, Summer Sea Sojourn, Kazuha Quest and Heizou's Hangout.

Apparently, players can rearrange the locations of the tiny islands.

Quality of Life Changes

The game will make small adjustments to make playability a more pleasing experience.

• Dropped items such as enemy mats can now stack if they are the same item.
• A 45 FPS option was added on PC
• Players have the option to uninstall (and reinstall again at a later time) past quest resources (e.g. audio of quest dialogs).
• New sections called Guide and Embattle have been added to the journal
  • Guide - Shows incomplete stories/hangout quests for easier navigation
  • Embattle - A new section that rewards you with artifacts and sanctifying essence for ascending characters of different elements.
  • There are currently only 4 chapters for now.

Genshin Impact 2.8 Events

• New Quests
• We will receive a new hangout event and a story quest based on two Anemo characters:
  • Shikanoin Heizou Hang Out event
  • Kazuha Story Quest: Acer Palmatum Chapter: Act I.
• The main event of Genshin Impact 2.8 is called Summer Sea Sojourn.
  • The Summer Sea Sojourn event will feature the following characters: Kazuha, Fischl, Xinyan, Yun Jin, Mona, Venti, Xiangling, and possibly Nahida the first character from Sumeru.
  • The event rewards an event currency, A free Fischl can be redeemed using 2000 event tokens.
  • The event will be divided into mini-games.
    • Evermotion Mechanical Painting: Players must place six Mechanical Painting Parts at the right angles and specific locations to put the Evermotion Mechanical Painting together.
    • The Reminiscent Regimen challenge has three themes: Convoy, Raid, and Abseil.
    • Complete these challenges and accumulate scores to obtain the corresponding rewards. Both single-player and co-op!
    • Surfpiercer Challenge, Waveriders will gather a certain amount of Piercer's Drive. Once this charging process is complete, you can activate a more powerful Surfpiercer's Surge. This ability can have a maximum of 3 stacks.
    • The mini even can be play in Co-op mode.
• Secret War event (dungeon battles at Dawn Winery)
  • It seems Diluc and the Dawn Winery are in trouble, and they will need the Traveler's help to battle enemies.
