*UPDATED* Genshin Impact 2.5 Yae Miko Leaks: Abilities, Constellations and Gameplay Revealed

Genshin Impact 2.5 will mark the debut of the highly anticipated new 5-star Electro character, Yae Miko.

Yae Miko is a Catalyst with a great DMG potential, that will escalate by accumulating more Elemental Mastery. Recent data mining has revealed her abilities and constellations, and they look fantastic already!

Release Time and Schedule

Yae Miko will arrive in the first banner of the Genshin Impact 2.5 update on February 16, 2021.

  • The server's maintenance will be around five hours.
  • Players will be rewarded with 300 Primogems for the downtime.

Latest - Yae Miko Abilities

Recent changes buff Yae Miko Damage potential and fix a certain aspect of her design. It seems miHoYo is open for feedback and making everything to deliver a well-rounded character.

These are very good news for those wishing for Miko the first 5-star Electro Catalyst character.

These are some of the changes:

  • New sound effects for her CA
  • New sound effects for Miko's Elemental Skill
  • Visual mark (three sakura petals), that indicates the stacks of the Elemental Skill are full.
  • Fix the animation of her Tail during Plunge Attacks.

Normal Attacks


Yae Miko's Spiritfox Sin-Eater summon Kitsune Spirits that deal AoE Electro DMG.

Attacks Descriptions
Normal AttackSummons forth Kitsune Spirits, initiating a combination of 3 attacks that produce Electro DMG
Plunged AttackPlunges towards the ground, damaging all opponents in her path with Thunderous Might, dealing AoE DMG upon impact.
Charged AttackConsumes a certain amount of Stamina to Deal AoE Electro DMG a short casting time.

Elemental attack, Yakan Evocation, Shesshou Sakura

Yae Miko moves Swiftly, leaving behind a Sesshou Sakura. These beacons will produce Electro DMG.

  • A maximum of three Sesshou Sakura can exist simultaneously.
  • Duration: 14 Seconds
  • Cooldown: 4 Seconds
Pressed AbilityYae Miko will move Swiftly leaving behind a Sesshou Sakura
Sesshou SakuraWill periodically strike one opponent with lighting producing Electro DMG. When there are other Shesshou Sakura nearby, their level increase thus boosting their DMG.
ConditionsA maximum of 3 Sesshou Sakura can exist simultaneously. The initial highest level each Sakura can reach is 3.

Elemental Burst - Great Secret Art

Yae Miko summons a sky Lighting bolt that produces AoE Electro DMG. Every Sesshou Sakura will become an additional Lighting Bolt.

  • Cooldown: 22 seconds
  • Energy Cost: 90 Particles
Elemental Burst
Yae Miko summons the Sky Kitsune, in the form of Lighting that Plummets down, dealing Electro DMG.
When Yae Miko uses this skill, unseal nearby Sesshou Sakura, transforming them into Sky Kitsune Thunderbolts. Each Sesshou Sakura Destroyed this way will create one descending thunderbolt.

Passive Talents

Yae Miko Talents are focused on increasing the viability of her Elemental Skill.

Meditations of a Wild Kitsune

  • When Yae Miko crafts Talent Materials, She has a 25% chance to create an extra talent material, from the same region but a random type.
  • The rarity of this material will be the same as the material consumed crafting.

The Shrine's Sacred Shade (Lv. 40)

  • Party members can decrease the CD of Yae Miko's Yakan Evocation.
    • by Hitting Opponents with an Elemental Skill reduced 1s.
  • by Hitting Opponents with an Elemental Burst reduced 1s.

Enlightened Blessing (Lv. 60)

  • Every Point of Elemental Mastery Yae Miko Possesses will increase Sesshou Sakura DMG by 0.12%

Yae Miko Constellations

Yae Miko's constellations are focused on boosting her own abilities, with only C4 giving benefits to her teammates, indicating that Yae Miko is meant to be the main DPS.

C2 - Hanagasa ManuscriptYakan Evocation: Sesshou Sakura's CD is decreased by 20% and its AoE attack is increased by 100%
C3 - The Seven GlamoursIncreases the level of Yakan Evocation: Sesshou Sakura by 3. Max upgrade level is 15.
C4 - Sakura ChannelingWhen Seeshou Sakura hit opponents, the Electro DMG bonus of all nearby party members in increased by 20% for 5s.
C5 - Divine Attainment:Increases the level of Great Secret Art by three. Maximum upgraded level is 15.
C6 - Forbidden Art: DaisesshouSesshou Sakura start at Lv. 2 when created. Max Lv. increased to 4, and their attacks will ignore 60% of the opponents DEF.
