Genshin Impact's latest Special Program Announcement is jam-packed with news about Genshin Impact 2.1 and the new Character Banners being added to the title by miHoYo in the next major update.
Leakers revealed a lot ahead of time, but now we have confirmation of what to expect from Genshin Impact 2.1 and the Character Banners in-store. We're also expecting two new Epitome Invocation Banners to run alongisde the new Character Event Banners. So, there's going to be a lot to do.
Raiden Shogun (Baal) Banner Confirmed
The first Character Event Banner of Genshin Impact 2.1, Reign of Serenity, will feature the following characters:
- 5-Star Raiden Shogun
- 4-Star Kujou Sara
- 4-Star Sucrose
- 4-Star Xiangling
Raiden first, Kokomi second...
Following the Genshin Impact 2.1 Special Announcement Program, we now know that the leakers were wrong - a little bit, anyway - and the upcoming Character Event Banners will be as follows...
- Character Event Banner One
- Raiden Shogon, 5-Star Electro Archon;
- Kujou Sara, 4-Star Electro Bow-user;
- Sucrose, 4-Star Anemo Catalyst-user;
- Xiangling, 4-Star Pyro Polearm-user;
- Character Event Banner Two
- Kokomi, 5-Star Hydro Catalyst-user;
- Beidou, 4-Star Electro Claymore-user;
- Rosaria, 4-Star Cryo Polearm-user;
- Xingqiu, 4-Star Hydro Sword-user;
As far as we know, the first Character Event Banner is still due to release on September 1st. The Raiden Shogun is joining the fight, at last, and we can't wait!
Genshin Impact 2.1 Epitome Invocation Banners
The first Genshin Impact 2.1 Epitome Invocation Banner will feature Engulfing Lightning, a 5-Star Polearm that resembles a Japanese naginata, along with The Unforged, a 5-Star Claymore.
Other weapons that will have an increased chance of obtaining:
- 4-Star Sacrificial Bow
- 4-Star Lion's Roar
- 4-Star Favonius Lance
- 4-Star The Bell
The second banner will feature 5-Star Catalyst, Everlasting Moonglow for Kokomi, as well as the Primordial Jade Cutter.
Other weapons that will have an increased chance of obtaining:
- 4-Star The Stringless
- 4-Star The Flute
- 4-Star Favonius Greatsword
- 4-Star Favonius Codex

Genshin Impact 2.1 - Aloy
While not on a banner, the Horizon series heroine, Aloy, will arrive in Genshin Impact's first major collaboration.
PlayStation players will be able to grab the 5-Star Cryo Bow user, as well as a special 4-Star Bow, for free when Genshin Impact 2.1 launches.
Other players will be able to obtain Aloy for free in Genshin Impact 2.2.
