The Fortnite 16.10 update is now live


Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 is well underway now, with the 16.10 updating being released, a new set of Week 3 challenges and the new Spring Breakout Easter event.

To keep you up to speed, we've got a breakdown of everything that's coming this week in Fortnite.

Latest - The 16.10 Update Is Now Live

The first update of Season 6, the 16.10 update, is now live.

Find & Tame Raptors Now

Now that the 16.10 update is out, you can now find raptors roaming the Fortnite island.

They're dangerous, but we've got a detailed guide here on how to find and tame raptors.

In short, they will appear near hatched eggs throughout the map and you can tame them with meat or the Hunter's Cloak.

They're pretty formidable though, so don't get too close unless you're sure you'll be able to beat them.

Update Size

The 16.10 update, which brings dinosaurs to Fortnite, is now live and can be downloaded on all platforms.

We've got the full patch notes below, but downtime began at 4am ET/9am BST, so the servers should be back online imminently.

Below, we've listed the update file sizes so that you're ready for all the new content:

  • PS4 - 3GB
  • PS5 - 6.4GB
  • Xbox One - 3.89GB
  • Xbox Series X - 4.5GB
  • PC - 14.1GB
  • Android - 500GB
  • Switch - 5GB

You should be able to jump into the game and check out everything that's new very soon after downloading the update.

16.10 Patch Notes

We've got a set of Fortnite Update 16.10 patch notes courtesy of the Fortnite Status Twitter account, and while they aren't exact, they're fantastic to build up some hype ahead of the upcoming update!

These are the things that Epic Games have revealed so far:

  • A new apex predator stalks the Island
  • Crafting, loot adjustments
  • Creative Powerups now support Team, Class, and All combinations
  • Coming April 3rd at 8 PM EST - new Save the World Ventures Season
  • Primal Shotgun nerfed, fire rate reduced
  • Makeshift Shotgun adjustments
  • Crafting material costs now scale with Makeshift rarity
  • Animal Bones and Mechanical Parts can appear as added floor loot

Season 6 Week 3 Challenges

While the challenges aren't due to go live in Fortnite until tomorrow, we already know what they are, thanks to Fortnite leaker, iFireMonkey.

Below, you can find the full list of Week 3 Challenges:

  • Fly 20 meters with a chicken
  • Hunt chickens
  • Catch fish at Camp Cod, Lake Canoe, or Stealthy Stronghold
  • Deal damage with shotguns
  • Get headshots with rifles
  • Deal damage within 20 meters using a pistol or revolver
  • Eliminate Raptor, Zenith, or Blackheart

Week 2/3 Legendary Quest

Easter Skins Revealed

With Easter Weekend just a few days away, Epic has revealed what skins will be coming to Fortnite to celebrate.

This is all part of the Spring Breakout event that's beginning today. You can see all of the skins below.

Easter Time: Five New Skins Available

Those skins are on top of The Spring Breakout Cup, traditional egg launcher, and special Easter pickaxe that'll come to the game this week.

Fortnite 16.10 Update

The Fortnite 16.10 Patch is due to release on March 30, adding a few new features to the game.

Fortnite leaker, RodneyDonahue4, has claimed that the Driftboard will be making a return to the game in either the 16.10 or 16.20 update, which may come as an additional surprise.

Also, @HYPEX on Twitter has shown off what the dino eggs will look like in Fortnite, with it also be possible for them to arrive in the update 16.10.

New Skins

As is the case pretty much every week, we expect there to be new skins released throughout the week.

The Fortnite X Rocket League Lama Rama event has begun, so you'll be able to get skins for the battle royale from Epic's other hit game, but more should come to the store.

Maybe even some more styles for someone like Lara Croft, who's been the star of Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 so far.
