Fortnitemares has begun and you can now take on the role of the Wolf to hunt down your prey in Fortnite. As expected, this new mechanic has been baked into some of the new Fortnitemares quests, one of which asks you to hit an opponent while Wolf Scent is active.

How to turn into a Werewolf in Fortnite

It's quite easy to turn into a werewolf in Fortnite, you just need to track down one of the Alteration Alters on the island.

There are nine alters in total across the map. To use one, simply step into the alter and use a dancing emote, this starts the transformation into a werewolf. It will take a few seconds so make sure you're safe before beginning the ritual.

How to hit an opponent while Wolf Scent is active

Wolf scent is the only ability that you gain when becoming a werewolf. It will automatically sit in your first weapon slot and requires a small charge time before being active.

When you're ready, you can hit the aim input to trigger the wolf scent. You must then try and hit an opponent while the wolf scent is active. If you fail, there is another small charge time before the ability is ready to use again.
