THE LAST STAND: Galactus will arrive at the Fortnite world on December 1st

It is interesting to see the Battle Buses racing away from Galactus, presumably carrying all of the characters from the world of Fortnite.

This is very reminiscent of the Battle Bus leaving the Fortnite island in the promo image for The End event in Chapter 1.

Black Hole Part 2?

It has been leaked that Galactus will destroy the current Chapter 2 map, taking us to a 2 day downtime like the black hole event.

With the event taking place on December 1st, the game will remain offline until December 3rd.

A Reddit user posted a leaked clip of what will happen when players load back into the game when downtime ends on December 3rd.

The Black Hole event was the biggest moment in Fortnite history, reaching peak interest in Google searches, as well as making headlines around the world.

Could Epic Games be looking to recreate some of that magic?

New Map?

With Galactus destroying the Chapter 2 map, it is expected that Season 5 will bring a hybrid map of Chapter 1 and Chapter 2.

The map will have a new design and will blend the best parts of each map, with many POIs returning, such as Tilted Towers.

Season 5 Will Be Marvel Themed

Chapter 2 Season 5 will continue the Marvel story, before it finally concludes at the end of the season.

This means that the Season 5 Battle Pass will either have more Marvel characters in, perhaps Spider-Man.

Acid Rain

The game is expected to get a new Acid Rain feature, which will damage players as it rains.

This could mean that we will see spots on the map where it'll fall for a brief period, damaging anyone in the area.

Or the whole map is rained on, forcing players into builds to take shelter.

It could definitely add a new meta to the game and bring new strategies to be found by the community.
