Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 is finally here and it has definitely shaken up the traditional style of gameplay that we're used to.
This season has seen the addition of crafting weapons from basic weapons into either more traditional weapons or the new Primal weapons.
Here is how to craft both using Bones and Mechanical Parts.
How to Craft Items With Bones & Mechanical Parts in Fortnite
Crafting is a new mechanic to Chapter 2 Season 6 and allows players to upgrade the Makeshift weapons to either the traditional style weapons, such as the regular Assault Rifle and Pump Shotgun, or the new Primal style weapons, these are generally older weapons re-skinned, such as the Drum Shotgun.
To do this, players need to gather either Bones or Mechanical Parts, depending on which style they want.
Bones craft Primal weapons, while Mechanical Parts craft regular weapons.
To find Bones, players need to hunt down wild animals that can be found across the map.
These are Boars, Wolves, Frogs, and Chickens.
By eliminating them they drop Bones as well as Meat.
Gather the Bones and then go into your Inventory and select Crafting.
Highlight the weapon you want, make sure you've got any additional items it requires too, then press Craft.
To find Mechanical Parts, players need to destroy vehicles, tractors, buses, trailers, any destructible vehicle should do.
Once you collect enough just follow the above steps for Crafting and you can Craft more traditional weapons such as the Pump Shotgun.
To kick Season 6 off, players need to take part in the Zero Crisis event, which sees Agent Jonesy try and save the Fortnite island by stabilising the Zero Point.
The event is split into two parts, with the first being cinematic, while the second is in-game.
You'll need to jump into the game to play the in-game section.
But for now, check out the cinematic trailer below to see Agent Jonesy battle Hunters and come face to face with the fourth member of The Seven.
