Glory awaits and the Vanguard Reveal Event in Warzone is almost upon us

Call of Duty Vanguard is on the way - that much is inevitable - and we're hours away from the full reveal of what's on offer. We've seen a cryptic Teaser Trailer and Call of Duty has been sharing information about the Battle of Verdansk for a while now... But, what do we actually know about the upcoming Warzone Event and the planned Vanguard reveal? Here's the latest ahead of, and during, the event later.

When does the Reveal Event take place?

The Call of Duty Vanguard Reveal Event - known as the Battle of Verdansk - in Warzone is going to take place at the following times on August 19th:

  • 10:30 - PST
  • 13:30 - EST
  • 18:30 - BST

There are reports that this will not be the only instance of the Battle of Verdansk, but it isn't clear whether this means it will be happening again at another scheduled time or whether it will be available via an ongoing in-game Playlist.

Call of Duty has said the following, though, so expect more information later today.

What are we expecting?

There's been a lot of teasers in the build-up to this Warzone Event and they all point towards one thing: an Armored Train coming to Verdansk '84.

Thankfully, we now know that the Warzone Event is going to involve PvE gameplay that tasks players with taking on said Armored Train with TNT. We still don't know exactly how this is going to work, but there's going to be turrets to destroy - so we're guessing it will shoot back.

"Target Incoming. A heavily armoured train is on route to Verdansk.
"Grab the TNT coordinate and use it at the ambush point...
"Schematics show turrets are weak points. Take them out, then take out the cars...
Squad up and work together to defeat the target."

At the moment, it doesn't look like there's going to be any NPCs to fight off in addition to the Armored Train. This means it could be an event that's wrapped up pretty quickly. Only time will tell, though, whether this is the case. The average Warzone game can last up to 25-30 minutes if you go the distance!

There's going to be Rewards, too!

If you jump into Warzone ahead of time, you'll be able to enjoy Double XP, Double Weapon XP, and Double Battle Pass XP. They have said that you should " drop into Warzone an hour early for target practice", but we all know that this is mainly to do with protecting the Warzone Servers.

In addition to this XP Boost, you'll be able to earn in-game rewards for participating in the Battle of Verdansk Warzone Event. From the teasers, you can see that we're going to be getting a Weapon Blueprint, Knife Blueprint, Timepiece, and more.

"NEW WEAPON AND KNIFE BLUEPRINTRS BIKE SKIN, TIMEPIECE, AND MORE..."

However, content creators received the following packages earlier today and it seems to confirm that we're getting a Black Ops Cold War RPD Weapon Blueprint, a Black Ops Cold War Knife Blueprint and some sort of Watch.

In addition to this, we're expecting a Calling Card or two and a Weapon Charm to be available for completing various in-game challenges.

Call of Duty Vanguard is rumoured to release on November 5th, 2021, and we expect an announcement regarding pre-order details and the leaked Champion Hill Alpha later today following the Warzone Event.
