When does Warzone's Vanguard Reveal in-game event actually start?

It's safe to say that everyone knows about Call of Duty Vanguard at this stage of the game. It's not exactly been the best-kept secret. However, that doesn't mean we're not excited for the upcoming Vanguard Reveal Event in Warzone. We're a handful of hours away now and here's everything you need to know.

EARN Double XP while playing the event

If you need a reason to tune into the Vanguard Reveal Event in Warzone, Raven Software has given you one. You can earn Double XP, Double Weapon XP, and Double Battle Pass XP, throughout the event.

The advice is to "drop into Warzone an hour early for target practice" - by "target practice", we think they mean "to help the servers cope with the influx of players".

Still, Double XP across the board isn't a bad thing and we're assuming that this will extend to encompass the other iterations of the Vanguard Reveal Event we're expecting in Warzone over the next few days.

Don't worry if you miss Thursday!

If you were worried about missing the Battle of Verdansk - what seems to be the official name for the Vanguard Reveal Event happening in Warzone on Thursday - don't worry! You can actually play through this exciting in-game event more than once and it has been confirmed that you'll be able to play through it into the weekend.

The wording in the tweet doesn't clear everything up, though. Is this an in-game event that takes place at specific times each day or is it a separate limited-time playlist that you can play whenever you'd like throughout the next few days?

We expect Call of Duty to clear this up over the next day, ahead of the start of the Vanguard Reveal Event in Warzone.

TEASERS - Trailers & Twitter Posts

The "Battle of Verdansk" is on the way and, at the moment, we don't really know a whole lot about what's going to happen.

At the moment, the only thing we know about Call of Duty Vanguard - ahead of the Vanguard Reveal Event in Warzone - is the following trailer:

As for the Reveal Event itself, we know the following:

"A new weapon is rolling into Verdansk...
"Assets in the field suggest an armored vehicle but intel is limited...
"Target arrival on location is 8/19...
"Squad up and work together to take it down."

Following this, another teaser was posted that confirms there will be Weapon Blueprints available for taking part in the Battle of Verdansk Vanguard Reveal Event in Warzone this week...

" Intel from command indicates you will be rewarded for taking part in the #BattleOfVerdansk...
" New Weapon and Knife Blueprints, Bike Skin, Timepiece, and more...
"Join the fight, defeat the target, get to the Exfil and earn rewards."

Call of Duty has shared another teaser that confirms the Battle of Verdansk is going to be a PvE event and feature an Armored Train...

"Target Incoming. A heavily armoured train is on route to Verdansk.
"Grab the TNT coordinate and use it at the ambush point...
"Schematics show turrets are weak points. Take them out, then take out the cars...
Squad up and work together to defeat the target."

When does the Vanguard Reveal Event take place?

Activision hasn't said anything themselves, yet, but PlayStation looks like it's leaked something again. (Shocker!)

The Vanguard Reveal Event is due to take place in Warzone at the following times:

  • 10:30 August 19th - PST
  • 13:30 August 19th - EST
  • 18:30 August 19th - BST

This information was revealed by the loose-lipped Tom Henderson and has since been corroborated by a number of other outlets and Call of Duty data miners. You can see Henderson's Tweet about this below:

What are we expecting from the event?

At the moment, it's hard to say what's going to happen during the Vanguard Reveal Event in Warzone. Everyone has a different take on what they want to see and what Activision should pull off, but there's one common denominator in every discussion on this.

The phrase "Train go boom" is something you might see a lot in the next couple of days and it's a bit of a meme at this point; However, it might also be exactly what Warzone's in-game event has planned.

GOODBYE OLD FRIEND - May your death be spectacular and exciting

For a while now, data miners have been talking about Warzone's train being replaced by a more era-appropriate vehicle and this could finally be the time we see the Warzone train as we know it "go boom". Expect to hear more on what to expect in the coming days.
