Forsaken Wonder Weapon Guide: How to unlock Cold War Zombies' Chrysalax

The Chrysalax is one of the strangest Wonder Weapons we've seen in Black Ops Cold War's Zombies, but that doesn't make it a bad one. Even if you don't like the look of it, you're going to need the Forsaken Wonder Weapon to complete the Easter Egg - also known as the Main Quest. Here's everything you need to know about how you can do all of this...

FORSAKEN WONDER WEAPON - How to unlock

If you want to get your hands on the Forsaken Wonder Weapon, you're going to need to follow these steps...

• Lift the lockdown
  • Follow the on-screen objectives and activate the Pack a Punch machine
• Open the shuttered window
  • This is to the right of the "lockdown button" and should trigger a cutscene.
• Zap an Aether Crystal
  • To do this, you'll need to head through the Teleporter to the Bunker Entrance and trigger the Abomination spawn. Then, use this Abomination to attack a Standard Aether Crystal with its electrical attack.
• Collect the Energetic Geode
  • The Abomination should create this pick-up on the Standard Aether Crystal it has zapped. It won't change in appearance, though.
• Trigger the Orange Crystal drop
  • To do this, you should need to progress around two rounds from when you first lifted the lockdown. The Orange Crystal should drop through the roof of Jim's Donuts on Main Street.
• Collect Polymorphic Crystal Core
  • To do this, you'll need to finish off all the Zombies that spawn and then you should be able to collect the Orange Crystal from Jim's Donuts
• Collect Tempered Crystal Heart
  • To prepare for this, you're going to need a Flamethrower - which will cost 100 Rare Salvage from a Crafting Table - and a Tormentor. You will need to kill the Tormentor with a Flamethrower to create this item.

• Build the Forsaken Wonder Weapon
  • To do this, you're going to need to head back into the Bunker and find the container filled with liquid aetherium in the Particle Accelerator. You should be able to interact with the container to put the Crystals inside.
• "Charge" the Liquid Aetherium
  • This is a classic Zombies objective. Kill enemies near the container to "charge" it up. They should all disappear when it's finished.
• Collect the Chrysalax
  • That's all you need to do! The Chrysalax Savager should spawn from the container.

Alternatively, you can play the Der Eisendrache Pinball Machine with an Arcade Token to unlock the Forsaken Wonder Weapon. This will throw you into a mini-game where you can get a Gold Loot Chest as a reward. This isn't guaranteed, but it's free if you pick up an Arcade Token from a Zombie - so... It's worth a shot at the very least.

In addition to this, you'll also be able to pick up the Chrysalax in the Mystery Box and as a Legendary Reward through the Trials Machine. This can be the easiest way to get it alongside doing other objectives and generally surviving - however, it's always a bit of a gamble as the Wonder Weapon isn't a guaranteed reward.

You could be spending a lot of points - also known as Essence - on getting the Forsaken Wonder Weapon. It'll be worth it, though, but maybe pick up a Perk or two first.
