However, before doing that, there are some things you must learn, as they will make the game easier, and significantly increase your chances of winning games and lifting trophies.

Master the TopSpin 2K25 controls

The first thing you need to do is understand the controls and mechanics, as this is crucial if you want to win games. This also makes the game more enjoyable, since if you don't know what you are doing the game can become quite frustrating.

That's why we advise you to make your way to the TopSpin Academy before playing any match.

In the TopSpin Academy Tennis legend John McEnroe will help you learn the ins and outs of the game's controls and mechanics. You will undertake some basic and advanced lessons that will teach you the fundamentals of the game such as positioning, timing, and serving.

Furthermore, you will also be able to understand the different play styles that exist in TopSpin 2K25 and see what are the strengths and weaknesses of each one.

This will make it easier to strategize against opponents and to adapt to the opponent's playstyle.

Play exhibition matches before starting your MyCAREER save

After you complete all the TopSpin Academy lessons you need to put what you learned to the test. The best way to do this is to play some offline exhibition matches.

In the exhibition matches you will be able to train your serves, groundstrokes, positioning, and above all, train your timing.

Timing is the most important thing in TopSpin 2K25, but there isn't a magic formula to get great at it. The saying "practice makes perfect" is the best way to describe how to master timing in TopSpin 2K25.

Mastering timing can be complicated and how long you take to do that will vary from player to player, but it's something you need to do if you want to become good at the game.

The difference between a perfect or a too-soon shoot is huge, and it will win or lose you points. A too-soon or too-late timed shot will give your opponent an opening or can even place the ball outside the court.

Be careful of how you distribute your MyCAREER points

Your MyCAREER player has eight attributes and all of them start at 30 points. When you level up you gain 8 attribute points and will need to allocate them.

But don't randomly allocate your attribute points, read carefully what each one of the attributes does, and take into account how you like to play the game and the playstyle that better suits you. After that, allocate the points to the attributes that fit that playstyle and will benefit you the most.

If after doing all that you still are unsure of how to allocate your attribute points, use the basic playstyles that show up on the right side of the attribute menu.

There are four different basic playstyles and you can select the one you like the most. Then the attributes will be allocated automatically to fit the playstyle you selected.

This is much better than just randomly allocating attribute points, as that will most likely hurt you in the long term. You can also look at the attribute points allocation of the TopSpin 2K25 official players such as Federer, Andre Agassi, or John McEnroe, and imitate it.

We hope this article helps you master the TopSpin 2K25 fundamentals, and makes it easier to find success on the court.
