The Rugby League World Cup is underway, with the fixtures set to come thick and fast over the course of the next seven days.

The first game of the week will take place on Monday evening, as France takes on Greece in Doncaster. The Group A duo will look to join group rivals England in getting off to a winning start.

The French squad is comprised almost entirely of those who ply their trade for either Catalans Dragons or Toulouse, including Fouad Yaha, who may well be the difference between progression to the knockout stages or a group stage exit.

Who is Fouad Yaha?

Fouad Yaha is a 26-year-old winger who plays domestic rugby for Super League outfit, Catalans Dragons.

Yaha has spent his entire domestic career in Perpignan with the Dragons, and averages a try every 1.45 matches, having scored 86 tries in 125 Super League appearances in his career thus far.

He comes into this year's Rugby League World Cup on the back of the most prolific try-scoring season in his career to date, having touched down 20 times in just 22 appearances across the 2022 campaign.

Yaha has made three appearances for his country, but he is yet to score a try for Les Bleus.
