A new era beckons for Formula E with season nine of the racing series ushering in new rules, a new driver line up and a brand new generation of cars.

The series has been growing at a steady rate in recent years with a plethora of former F1 drivers making the switch to Formula E, including Antonio Giovinazzi, Pascal Wehrlein and reigning FE world champion Stoffel Vandoorne.

With winter testing in Spain less than two weeks away, here is all the key information you need for season nine of Formula E.

When does Formula E Season 9 start?

The 2023 Formula E World Championship is scheduled to start much earlier than the new Formula 1 and IndyCar seasons, offering motorsport fans some much-craved racing in January.

The opening round of Formula E season nine is scheduled to take place in Mexico City at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez on January 14th, 2023.

What is the Formula E Season 9 calendar?

There are currently 17 rounds scheduled for the 2023 Formula E season with the season set to start in Mexico in mid-January and finish in London with a double-header in late July.

Two rounds are still yet to be confirmed, but that will likely change in the coming days as more and more details are revealed for season nine of Formula E.
