As part of the silhouette's 50th anniversary, sacai is releasing new Cortez 4.0s in grey, leaving many fans wondering if Nike has revealed a release date yet.
Early images of the sneakers have surfaced shortly after sacai's white, red, and blue variation emerged online, therefore suggesting the latest grey rendition will debut as part of a wider Cortez collection.
This isn't the first time sacai has teamed with Nike though, having previously dropped the sacai x Nike Vaporwaffle's earlier this year.
However, we're focusing solely on the upcoming debut of the grey Cortez 4.0s in this article. So, without further delay, let's jump in...
When Is The sacai x Nike Cortez 4.0 Release Date?
Much like the white iteration, no release date has been announced for the sacai x Nike Cortez 4.0s so far.
As a result, reports only go as far as to predict their arrival at some point in 2022.
Having said that, the last sacai x Nike collaboration dropped on 10 March 2022. While this isn't much to go off, it could provide some indication as to a potential launch date for these Cortez sneakers later this year.

sacai x Nike Cortez 4.0 Design
As mentioned, these sneakers arrive mostly in a mixture of grey tones, with the bulk of the uppers made out of what appears to be canvas material. As an aside, check out our guide to cleaning canvas shoes right here.
You then get several layered textures across the shoes including a slightly rougher fabric across the toe boxes and heels, plus white leather Swooshes doubling up with darker printed Swooshes just below.
You'll also find exposed Nike Air units towards the front of the sneakers to bring these classic trainers from 1972 into the modern era.
Rounding off the collaboration, Chitose Abe has printed her Japanese label's logo on the heels along with the usual Nike branding.
The end product sees these sneakers arrive with a unique but interesting aesthetic which, we believe, puts them among some of the best sneakers for summer.
sacai x Nike Cortez 4.0 Price
Much like the release date, there has been no confirmed price tag for these sneakers thus far.
Generally speaking though, Cortez sneakers are relatively inexpensive, retailing for around $75 on average.
However, given these shoes are a high-profile collaboration, we'd expect them to cost slightly more than this average price.
