The long-rumoured sacai x Nike Zoom Cortez collaboration has finally been revealed in detail by Nike SNKRS after several early images of the sneakers emerged online.
The Cortez made its debut during the 1972 Summer Olympics, so the release of sacai's modern retake on the model celebrates the silhouette's 50th anniversary this year.
This is the second big birthday in Nike's calendar, with the brand also celebrating the Air Force 1s 40th birthday by remaking the original Vintage Sail design from 1982.

sacai x Nike Zoom Cortez Release Date
Despite seeing early images of the sneakers, the sacai Zoom Cortez release date was originally kept under wraps by Nike.
However, the sneakers have since been listed on the brand's SNKRS launch page which, in turn, confirms that they're out now as of 31 August 2022.
We're yet to see whether the shoes will appear in smaller kids' sizes as well as adults just yet, so stay tuned for more information on this right here.
sacai x Nike Zoom Cortez Design
The official images of the sacai x Nike Cortez sneakers showcase the unique and retro design in great detail beyond what we saw from several early images released ahead of time.
The sneakers appear to feature the OG colour blocking from Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman‘s original design from 1972.
White leather is used as the base layer, while grey suede overlays combine with pops of blue and red across the midsoles, heels, and Swooshes.
sacai has made sure to include some of its signature design details as well though. For example, the shoes feature stacked midsoles, forefoot air bubbles, and double Swooshes along the lateral and medial sides.
Nike and sacai co-branding can then be found stacked on top of each other across the heels, thus rounding off this collaboration in typical sacai style.

Like the release date, the price tag for the sacai Zoom Cortez sneakers was originally unknown, but the official listing has since confirmed their retail price as $185 in adult sizing.
