Well, this month's PS Plus announcement was a bit of a let-down, wasn't it? After announcing Hunter's Arena as the PS5 title earlier in the month, fans were already expecting a dull month for PS Plus. Then, the other two titles were leaked by PlayStation and that sealed August's fate. Now, we have the full announcement that confirms what free PS Plus games are coming next week.

AUGUST 2021 - PS Plus Games Confirmed

PlayStation has confirmed exactly what we expected from PS Plus in August 2021, for better or worse. Here are the August 2021 PS Plus games:

  • Hunter's Arena - Legends (PS4 & PS5)
  • Plants vs Zombies: Battle For Neighborville (PS4)
  • Tennis World Tour 2 (PS4)

All three titles will be available to download from August 3rd until next month's PS Plus games are available on September 6th.

LEAKED GAMES - PlayStation Spill The Beans

Unusually, it looks like PlayStation has leaked their PS Plus announcement ahead of time and we now know what free PS Plus games we're expecting to get alongside Hunter's Arena.

Plants vs. Zombies: Battle For Neighborville and Tennis World Tour 2 are going to be joining Hunter's Arena on August 3rd if the image of the official PlayStation website below is anything to go by.

WHAT A LEAK - Two more PS Plus games have been revealed, it seems

People aren't happy, but there are worse games out there to add to your Game Library. You don't have to play them, of course.

CONFIRMED GAME - Hunter's Arena

In Sony's last State of Play presentation, they did the unusual and confirmed one of next month's PS Plus games as a new battle royale title: Hunter's Arena.

Hunter's Arena is a 30-player melee-based battle royale game that's launching on both PS4 and PS5 on August 3rd. It's going to be included in August's PS Plus line-up but there's no word on how much it will cost outside of this.

With this being available on both generations, we might not see another PS5 title this month. We can hope, but it looks like this could be taking up that slot.

When Will We Know More?

We can't say this with absolute certainty, but PlayStation tends to announce its next batch of free PS Plus games on the last Wednesday of the month. We know this isn't always the case, but generally speaking, there's a pattern.

With this in mind, we should see the next PS Plus announcement on July 28th at around 09:30 PST / 11:30 EST / 16:30 BST. We might already know one of the titles, but expect to see quite a few rumours and leaks in the days building up to this.

Are we finally going to see Uncharted: The Lost Legacy added to PS Plus' library of free titles? Only time will tell.
