June 2021's PS Plus games lineup confirmed by PlayStation

This month's PS Plus games have finally been revealed and it looks like the leak, mentioned below, was right for a second month straight!

The June 2021 PS Plus games offer a little bit of everything this month and here's everything you need to know about when you can start playing them.

Latest PS Plus Titles Confirmed

June 2021's PS Plus games have just been confirmed by PlayStation and there are some fantastic titles up for grabs. Of course, Star Wars: Squadrons is the "big name" title for this month, but that doesn't take away from the fact that Operation: Tango and the Virtua Fighter remaster both look pretty great.

Operation Tango and Star Wars Squadrons will be available until July 5th. Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown is going to be available until August 2nd!

Latest News - Leaked Game Now Revealed

We'll get to the exact details of the leak below, but Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown has now been officially revealed, having been leaked as one of the free PS Plus games in June 2021.

The game is set to release on June 1 and you can check out the trailer for it below.

This is the first time that the game will have been on PS4, so it's exciting for fans of the series.

PS Plus June 2021 Lineup Leaks

The theory that Virtua Fighter 5 was included in the June PS Plus lineup was first thrown out by Areajugones, who correctly reported the PS Plus lineup ahead of time in May.

They also suggest that Star Wars: Squadrons and Operation: Tango will be included in the lineup.

Therefore, the full PS Plus free games lineup for June 2021 would be:

• Star Wars: Squadrons (PS4)
• Operation: Tango (PS5)
• Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown (PS5)

Of course, these games haven't been completely confirmed, so we'll confirm once they are.

We did predict that Operation: Tango would be included in June, so if it turns out to be correct, you can give us some credit!

Reveal Time & Date

PlayStation usually reveal the PS Plus lineup on the final Wednesday of each month.

They usually release a PS Blog post, a trailer, and a tweet that runs down the full lineup of titles.

This means that we can expect to see the reveal for June's PS Plus games on Wednesday, May 26 at 11:30 am EST/4:30 pm BST.

The only possible reason for that change is if the lineup is revealed during PlayStation's Horizon Forbidden West State of Play that was revealed on May 25.

It probably won't affect anything, but there's a small chance that the reveal is held back until then. We'll keep you in the loop.

PS Plus Games Release Date

Then, the games should release on PS4 and PS5 on Tuesday, June 1 for you to download for free.

While PlayStation probably won't add the to the PS Plus tab or shout them out until later in the afternoon, you should be able to download them for free from midnight by searching for the game titles.
