The latest PlayStation news, new releases, and PS5 stock updates

Looking for the latest PS5 news today? We've got everything new that's coming from PlayStation over the next couple of days and the latest stock update on PS5 consoles.

PS5 Console Stock Updates

If you're struggling to get your hands on a PS5 console, this will be good news.

Insider accounts like @PS5Instant and @PS5StockAlertUK are pretty certain that PS5 console restocks are coming over the next few days. Argos, GAME, Amazon, and places like Very and John Lewis are all apparently getting some new PS5 console stock over the next couple of days.

The following tweet was uploaded with a disclaimer though:

" I've put the 12th into Argos this time as I've been told the staff have a discount on all items throughout the weekend until the end of Tuesday, which may delay the drop by a day, time will tell. - Argos & GAME are the only insider knowledge we have on that list."

Still, it's not a guarantee but it does look like you will be able to have another chance at getting a PS5 over the next couple of days. If not, there's always CEX and eBay. There are warnings that stock issues will be around for a long time, though. So... Good luck.

Hood: Outlaws & Legends Out Tomorrow

This is one game that more people should be talking about. Hood: Outlaws & Legends is a wonderful blend of Payday 2 and Assassin's Creed that tasks you with pulling off elaborate heists in a medieval fantasy world.

It's been in Early Access for a couple of days now and its full release date is actually tomorrow! In an effort to make sure everyone's on top form going into the full release, PlayStation has shared fourteen tips that will help you to succeed.

You'll need to protect your Winchers, dodge and parry, and make sure you're prepared when you open the vault. Ambushes are always fun, aren't they?

PlayStation Download Charts For April

It's time for another rundown of the PlayStation Download Charts for April. What games were people playing?

PlayStation has shared the news that MLB The Show 21 has topped the chart, but that only applies to the United States and Canada. What were Europeans playing?

US/Canada

  1. MLB The Show 21
  2. Outriders
  3. Returnal
  4. Mortal Kombat 11
  5. It Takes Two

Europe

  1. FIFA 21
  2. Outriders
  3. It Takes Two
  4. Returnal
  5. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War

It Takes Two's appearance on both Top 5's is an important step in proving that couch co-op isn't dead yet. Interestingly, Outriders and Returnal both feature comfortably despite the fact that they're independent action IPs. If there were any concerns that these might not be popular, this should prove otherwise.

Anything Else?

These might be the big stories, but there's still plenty of extra things happening today.

We've got a brand new look at the Closed Beta for The Hunter's Arena: Legends. This is due to start on Friday and it's going to feature 12 different playable characters in 30-player matches. PlayStation has shared all the sign-up details below:

In addition to this, PlayStation has shared more on the upcoming 8-bit adventure, Astalon: Tears of the Earth. If you like tough platformers and yearn for any sort of gaming nostalgia, this one will be right up your alley.

Call of the Sea is also out tomorrow on both PS4 and PS5! With Lovecraft as an inspiration, you know it's going to feature a few supernatural elements. PlayStation has shared a teaser trailer below and it looks fantastic.
