MLB The Show 22 Legends Roster: San Francisco Giants former pitcher joins the club

We've got a new addition to the MLB The Show 22 Legends Roster as Brian Wilson makes his debut.

We'll also have a new reveal today for the Road to the Show and Ballplayer features. We'll attach what we know on that below as well.

Now, let's take a look at all of the new MLB The Show 22 Legends.

LATEST - Brian Wilson's debut

The new player joining the MLB The Show 22 Legends roster for the first time is "The Beard" Brian Wilson.

In 2010, Wilson led the Majors with 48 saves which tied the Giants' franchise single-season record. He'll make a great addition to this roster.

MLB The Show 22 Legends Roster adds new Mariners icon Randy Johnson

Every year, Sony San Diego likes to build some of their hype by slipping members of the year's Legends Roster into trailers without mentioning anything.

They were at least a bit more obvious with this year's first, as the MLB The Show 22 gameplay trailer waited until the very end to tease a huge name.

Fortunately, they allowed a clear back of the jersey shot so we can very clearly see this is National Baseball Hall of Famer Randy Johnson.

THE BIG UNIT: Get ready to bring him to the field in MLB The Show 22

Through his 22 seasons, Johnson played for the Montreal Expos, Houston Astros, Arizona Diamondbacks, New York Yankees, San Francisco Giants, and the Seattle Mariners where he spent the majority of his career.

One of the most notable things about Johnson's addition is that he's one of the tallest players in MLB history at a towering 6 feet 10 inches tall.

For MLB The Show 22, this could make him a surprisingly challenging pitcher to face off against as height could alter where his pitches tend to land.

It could also make taller hitters crucial when going up against him, but we'll have to wait and see how things feel in MLB The Show 22 to know for sure.

MLB The Show 22: All New Legends Revealed (so far)

With the gameplay trailer having just arrived, most of the attention has been on the last second tease of Randy Johnson, but he wasn't the only one featured.

The following legends have been shown in trailers and are now confirmed for MLB The Show 22:

  • Randy Johnson (New Legend)
  • Ryan Howard (New Legend)
  • Kirk Gibson (New Legend)
  • Kevin Youkilis (New Legend)
  • Brian Wilson ( New Legend)

As a note, anyone listed above with "New Legend" means that they were not included in the MLB The Show 21 Legends Roster.

Last year, we saw plenty of huge names in the mix with early reveals of Alfonso Soriano, Grady Sizemore, Roberto Clemente, and Kirby Puckett.

We expect most of last year's big names to return, along with mainstays that have been in the franchise for some time, but the focus will turn to new legends as we approach launch.
