When will Disney Lorcana be released?

Disney Lorcana is a new trading card game set to take on the likes of Magic: The Gathering, Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh!

There is much excitement around the release, but how long do we have to wait before we can play it? Find out below.

When will Disney Lorcana be released?

Not much is known about the mechanics of Disney Lorcana, but thankfully, we do know exactly when it will be released!

The official Twitter account announced The First Chapter set will be coming to local game stores on Friday, 18 August, followed by bigger retailers on Friday, 1 September.

It is also reported that Disney Lorcana products will be available at Gen Con 2023, which will place between Thursday, 3 August and Sunday, 6 August.

Limited edition D23 Expo Collector's Sets and Mickey - Brave Little Tailor cards were available at the D23 Expo on Friday, 9 September and Saturday, 10 September 2022, and all the cards will feature in The First Chapter set at launch, just without the D23 marking.

The First Chapter

Disney Lorcana is rumoured to have four set releases a year, which will be known as Chapters.

The First Chapter will of course be the one that kicks things off, introducing players to the mechanics of the game and many to the playstyle of TCGs in general!

There will be plenty of ways to get your collection started, with three starter decks coming at launch, along with booster packs, a gift set and the Illumineer's Trove - a box containing packs and accessories to help organise your cards.
