Monster Hunter Rise is the next title in the award-winning Monster Hunter series and it's being talked about in very high regard.
With that being said, we are wondering whether you can play Monster Hunter Rise in splitscreen local co-op. Below, we've got everything you need to know.
Monster Hunter Rise Splitscreen
As it stands, you will be sad to know that Monster Hunter Rise does not support local co-op via splitscreen.
It makes sense when you consider the standard Nintendo Switch's screen size, but with the Nintendo Switch in Docked Mode? You feel like it wouldn't be as much of an issue.
However, splitscreen isn't a common feature of Monster Hunter games in the past and Rise isn't any different.
How To Play Local Co-Op
That doesn't mean you can't play local co-op though, you'll just need two Nintendo Switch consoles with Switch Online and a stable internet connection.
If you want to play local co-op on Monster Hunter Rise, you will need to follow the standard matchmaking settings and set up a lobby like you would for a standard online game.
Monster Hunter Rise is due to launch on Nintendo Switch consoles on March 26th and it is in development for Microsoft Windows as of writing. There is currently no word on whether the game will be coming to consoles.
