How to Register for the Age of Empires 4 Technical Stress Test

Age of Empires 4 is the long-awaited follow-up to the third game, that released almost two decades ago. Although RTS games tend to fit into somewhat of a niche, Age of Empires 4 is one of the most highly anticipated games this year. With lots to prove, the team are trying to be as transparent as possible. This has led to a closed beta for those who preordered or registered and, now, the technical stress test. If you want the chance to try it before you buy it, here's what you need to know

Start Date

The Age of Empires technical stress test starts in just a few days on September 17th. This means there's a month in between the test and the official launch. The test ends a few days later on September 20th.

This stress test is a great way of letting people play the game and report any issues they find while doing so. Essentially, it's using its large player base as a tester. This being said, it's a good way of trying the game to see if it's something you want to buy later in the year - good for players and the team.
