The latest and biggest Minecraft update, which is known as both 1.17 and Caves & Cliffs, is just hours from releasing.
It'll add various new mobs, blocks, and more to the game, and has been slowly being revealed via pre-releases over the last few weeks.

Release Time
While the official time is yet to be revealed, we expect the Minecraft 1.17 Caves & Cliffs update to launch between 10am ET/3pm BST and 12pm ET/5pm BST on June 8.
There's a chance that that has been pushed back, following the worldwide internet outages. If that's affected the guys over at Mojang, maybe it'll be delayed.
They haven't said anything about that, however, so presume it's running on schedule for now.
Download Size
It's unknown right now just how big the download size of the Caves & Cliffs update will be.
Since some of the files have been released via pre-releases over the last few weeks, we don't know what's already in the game.
However, since 1.17 will come to Bedrock and Java servers, it should be a full update file. We'll set you know how big it is as soon as we know ourselves.

Platforms
Caves and Cliffs will be out on all versions of Minecraft at the exact same time on June 8. This means that its crossplay functionalities will be fully operational for launch.
Anyone playing on Java have a little bit of a bonus though. If you have it here, you can play the update early via the pre-release.
