Madden 23 Update 1.04 Patch Notes revealed, Franchise Mode fixes promised (September 27)

Madden 23 Update 1.04 Patch Notes have arrived detailing a few minor fixes as things look ahead to the next major Title Update.

Madden 23 Update 1.04 Patch Notes revealed (September 27)

With ongoing bugs plaguing Franchise Mode and other parts of the game, Madden 23 Update 1.04 has arrived with a few minor fixes.

Madden 23 Update 1.04, also known as Update 1.004 on PS5 and 1.0.0.7 on Xbox Series X|S, deployed the morning of September 27, 2022.

Exact download size isn't known as it was small enough to download in the background without many players noticing, but chances are it couldn't have been that significant.

Official patch notes were released via the EA Answers HQ in a post that outlined these few changes:

• Stability improvements
• Addressed a rare player model issue

Unfortunately, as it pertains to this update today, that's all we know about what's actually been fixed in Madden 23.

However, the post did stress that they are aware of Franchise Mode issues and even gave us an idea of when to expect more.

Madden 23 October Title Update and Franchise Mode fixes promised

In the brief post by EA Community Manager EA_Blitz, they also addressed ongoing issues with Franchise Mode.

A flurry of different bugs have hindered the mode since launch, and EA stated:

"First, we are aware of several issues that players have reported within Franchise mode and our team is working as quickly as possible to resolve these issues."

In addition, the following update was given about next month's Madden 23 October Title Update:

"Continuing with our commitment to live service, our next Title Update focuses on player feedback from the launch-window of Madden NFL 23. This update is currently targeted for mid-October and the full updates will be detailed via Gridiron Notes."

Unfortunately, they didn't clarify when mentioning live service whether the October Title Update will actually include new features.

Additional scenarios and the upgraded scouting system were added in a post-launch Title Update for Madden 22, but as of yet they've not confirmed if this will include anything more than bug fixes.
