A New GTA 5 Update Has Just Arrived

UPDATE - Official Rockstar Patch Notes have been released and can be found at the bottom of the page.

A brand new GTA 5 Update has dropped this morning on PS4, PS5, Xbox, and PC.

Despite Grand Theft Auto fans desperately wanting some sort of GTA 6 announcement, Rockstar will most likely be all about GTA 5 in 2021, with a new next-gen launch coming later this year.

And who can blame them? GTA V has sold 140 million copies to date with publisher Take-Two revealing this week that 2020 was (surprisingly) the game's best year of sales since it originally launched back in 2013 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Because of this insatiable appetite for the game, Rockstar are still committed to rolling out updates for the ageing title, just like the patch that has dropped today (February 10, 2021).

At present, the patch is in the process of rolling out to all players. Intial suggestions have mentioned that the patch is "only a couple hundred MB on Playstation" according to GTA Base.

In fact, as we write this we've just spotted it's 558.9MB on PlayStation (as per Rockstar Intel).

However, the same update is also 6.6GB on Xbox One and 92MB on Steam.

So it's possible that whilst this latest download for the game is mainly just for bug fixes, there could be some more significant changes afoot on Xbox One consoles.

At the time of writing, there are no official patch notes from Rockstar Games, and it's possible that if they were to publish anything official, it won't be made available until this afternoon.

That's normally how Rockstar roll.

Stay tuned though because we're willing the passionate GTA fanbase will be scouring the game pretty soon and publishing their findings to Reddit.
