Genshin Impact's biggest secret, the upcoming playable character Kamisato Ayato, is officially announced.
Earlier this morning, the splash art of Kamisato Ayato was leaked. Some minutes after, miHoYo decided to take the situation into their hands, releasing the Drip Marketing post with more information about Ayato.
The post was published just some hours before the Genshin Impact 2.5 special program. Here is the latest news about Kamisato Ayato.
Kamisato Ayato Release Date
If the rumors are correct, Kamisato Ayato is arriving on the first banner of Genshin Impact 2.6, which will go live on March 30, 2022.
Now that the official image of Kamisato Ayato is public, hopefully, we will receive more details.
For now, we know Ayato is a 5-star Hydro Sword Character. His appearance looks very mature, like Zhongli, elegant, and wise.
Livestream Genshin Impact 2.5
The Genshin Impact 2.5 Livestream went live on Friday, February 4, 2022, at 8:00 pm server time (Chinese Standard Time).

Kamisato Ayato Appearance
Ayato, the head of the Kamisato Clan in Inazuma, is pictured wearing a grey suit with purple accents. His hair is slightly longer, and it is the same color as Ayaka's.
The image of Kamisato Siblings resting on the Kamisato Estate shows a Maple Leaf flying. This is the Symbol of another Inazuma Character, Kazuha.
Kazuha vs. the Traveler
In the video shown, during the Genshin Impact 2.5 Livestream, we can see a very frightening battle between Kazuha and the Traveler. We can't imagine which conflict could arise between these good friends so the trailer may be a massive twist!
Still, it is most likely that the one in the video is not the Traveler but her Sibling, and Kazuha is there to protect her or protect someone else.
In another scene, we can see the reflection of the Traveler standing with his sword in hand through Baal's eye.
Baal's eyes don't have the scary Electro Glow when she means business, or is about to evaporate someone.
Perhaps the scene is a preamble for the second round against the Electro Archon when Baal becomes the new weekly Boss.
The video where these images were extracted was presented during the Livestream. Therefore, we do not know if it was only an ad or the trailer for an animated series.
