What is Crystal Core?
Crystal Core is a Wolrd Item found in each region of Teyvat. They are essential for game progression; consider scheduling a farming tour now and then.
The Crystal Core is elemental energy in the atmosphere that comes to life in the shape of brilliant butterflies. Travelers can harvest the Crystal Cores capturing these Crystalflies.
There are four types so far corresponding to the element of each region:
- Electro Crystalflies (Inazuma)
- Geo Crystalflies (Liyue)
- Anemo Crystalflies (Mondstadt)
- Cryo Crystalflies (Dragonspine)
- Each type grant the same kind of Crystal Core
Crystal Core Tips
These butterflies can spawn relatively high at times, and they escape quite fast, practice your best catching skills, move slowly closer to them and make a fast move to secure the catch.
Sayu passive, Yoohoo Art: Silencer's Secret, allows your characters to sneak up on Crystalflies is she in your party.
Crystalflies can be found near Statues and Domains, so try to teleport again if you miss catching the first time.
It is easier to catch them nighttime, as they glow in the dark.
They will not spawn when it is raining. In Dragonspine never rain, so you can always find them there.
Crystal Core Main Locations
Crystalflies tend to concentrate more in certain areas despite being found in every region. These are the recommended locations to harvest Crystal Core:
Mondstad
- Near the Statue of the seven on Windrise
- The crop fields in Dawn Winery
- Statue of the Seven in Windwail Highland.
Liyue
- At the entrance of Guyun Stone Forest Domain.
- In Mt. Azoang, the shore area of the Clear pool and Mountain Cavern Domain.
Dragonspine
- Follow the river to the cave in the Entombed City Outskirts
Inazuma
- Northeast and South of the Sacred Sakura
- Tatarasuna Island near the Mikage Furnace

There are around 50 different Crystalflies in the wild; they respawn every 48hrs, and it is impossible to buy or farm Crystal Core.

What to Use Crystal Core on
Most World Items are used as Ascencion Material or part of Meal Recipes, in the case of Crystal Core are just Crafting Material.
Even though they are not necessary to progress in the game, harvesting Crystal Core constantly brings huge benefits.
Condensed Resin
Original Resin is the Energy Resource in Genshin Impact. It is needed to claim rewards after defeating Bosses, Clearing Domains, and Ley Line Blossoms.
Condensed Resin uses Original Resin and Crystal Cores to produce a type of Resin that will double rewards in Domains.
Condensed Resin will reduce to 50% the time players farm Ascencion Materials and Artifacts.

Players need Crystal Core to craft these consumables.
- Frostshield Potion - Increases the Cryo Resistance of your team by 25% for 300s
- Windbarrier Potion - Increases the Anemo Resistance of your team by 25% for 300s
- Adepti Seeker's Stove - a portable stove that will allow players to cook in any location.
- The stove spawn in one location for a limited time.
- It can be used only when the player is out of combat.
