City of Gold is the latest Domain of Blessing in Genshin Impact. The dungeon is located in the dune of the Sumeru Desert.

The new Domain of Blessing, the second of this type in the Dendro Nation, will introduce two new artifact sets in the game, Desert Pavilion Chronicle and Flower of Paradise Lost.

For those players interested in getting pieces from these new artifacts, we have designed a brief guide with the location and how to unlock and clear the City of Gold Domain.

Requirements

Luckily for players, the City of Gold doesn't have prior requirements, and there is no need to solve a puzzle to access the Domain.

However, travelers need to unlock the Sumeru Desert region on their map to reach the new Domain of Blessing.

How to reach the City of Gold?

If you already have access to Sumeru Desert Dunes, the City of Gold domain will be visible on the map.

However, the Domain is at the bottom of the Canyon in the Eye of Sands in the Great Red Sand area in Sumeru.

The best route to the Domain is flying from the Southern Teleport Waypoint in the Eye of Sands area.

If you haven't unlocked the Teleport Waypoint, we recommend starting from Caravan Ribat, following the road to Aaaru Village.

Once in the Teleportwaypoint, start gliding in the direction of the Temple with the broken bridge, the City of Gold entrance is located at the bottom of the cliff wall. (The red circle in the image above).

Desert Citadel Challenges

Once you unlock the City of Gold, players can participate in four challenges called Desert Citadel to obtain pieces of the new Artifacts sets.

  • We recommend spending resin only on 4 and 5 stars artifacts, which can be obtained on Desert Citadel Callegenge III and Desert Citadel Challenge IV.
  • The Domain allows Co-OP mode. If your characters don't have the level required to defeat the enemies, click the match button, and the system will find other players that can assist you.
  • Bring your strongest Anemo Characters, as the Domain provides an Anemo DMG bonus. The enemies in this Domain are Slimes, Cryoshrooms, Geoshrooms, and Hydroshrooms.
