What Is The Best Xinyan Build In Genshin Impact?

Xinyan is a character that does not get a lot of love in Genshin Impact.

A B-Tier Main DPS, and having not once been see during the game's story so far, it is sometimes easy to forget she is even there.

Still, when built properly, Xinyan can help carry a team to victory.

While many would see her built around Wolf's Gravestone and a Gladiator's set, this build takes a different approach, offering Xinyan excellent defense while giving her great AoE Physical DMG bursts with a touch of Pyro DMG.

Xinyan Best Artifacts

ARTIFACTS: Watch out for this combo

Since Xinyan provides a mix of Physical and Pyro DMG, it is best to equip her with Artifacts to spread the wealth a bit and maximize her overall potential.

A 2-piece Noblesse Oblige and 2-piece Bloodstained Chivalry will do just that, giving Xinyan:

  • +25% Physical DMG
  • +20% Elemental Burst DMG

This will ensure that not only will her physical attacks do greater damage, but her Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst both get a double boost in efficacy.

Player will want each piece to focus on:

  • CRIT DMG
  • CRIT Rate
  • ATK%
  • Energy Recharge

The only exception to this rule would be her crown, which should focus on:

  • CRIT DMG/CRIT Rate
  • ATK%
  • Energy Recharge
  • DEF%

Xinyan Best Weapons

PRIDE: The Skyward Pride is fierce

The best Claymore to use with Xinyan is the 5-Star Skyward Pride, a weapon that focuses on Energy Recharge.

Only available via Genshin Impact's Wish system, it has the following stats at Level 1:

  • Base ATK: 48
  • Secondary Stat Type: Energy Recharge
  • Secondary Stat: 8%
  • Ability: Sky-ripping Dragon Spine - Increases all DMG by 8%. After using an Elemental Burst, Normal or Charged Attack, on hit, creates a vacuum blade that does 80% of ATK as DMG to opponents along its path. Lasts for 20s or 8 vacuum blades.

When refined to Level 5, Sky-ripping Dragon Spine's DMG increase goes up to 16% and the vacuum blade created does 160% of ATK.

At Level 90, the Skyward Pride's stats are as follows:

  • Base ATK: 674
  • Secondary Stat Type: Elemental Recharge
  • Secondary Stat: 36.8%

Xinyan has two good alternatives to the Skyward Pride, the Favonius Greatsword and the Snow-Tombed Starsilver.

The latter is easily craftable in the game with a little bit of effort, so that will be the focus here.

At Level 1 the Snow-Tombed Starsilver has the following stats:

  • Base ATK: 44
  • Secondary Stat Type: Physical DMG Bonus
  • Secondary Stat: 7.5%
  • Ability: Frost Burial - Hitting an opponent with Normal and Charged Attacks has a 60% chance of forming and dropping an Everfrost Icicle above them, dealing 80% AoE ATK DMG. Opponents affected by Cryo are dealt 200% ATK DMG instead by the icicle. Can only occur once every 10s.

When refined to Level 5, Frost Burial has a 100% chance of forming an Everfrost Icicle even 10s when attacking.

This icicle deals 140% AoE ATK DMG, with opponents affected by Cryo taking 360% ATK DMG.

At Level 90, the Snow-Tombed Starsilver has the following stats:

  • Base ATK: 565
  • Secondary Stat Type: Physical DMG Bonus
  • Secondary Stat: 34.5%

EULA: Fire and Ice are a perfect combination

Players looking to get the most of Xinyan will find her a great spot in a team consisting of Bennett, Kaeya, and Xingqui.

Bennet, as always, provides excellent healing and character buffs, but also adds Elemental Resonance with Xinyan.

Xingqui and Kaeya are there for Elemental Reactions, setting up either Vaporize and Melt for Xinyan to do even more damage.

Xinyan also makes a great Sub-DPS for Eula in a team that also has Fischl and Bennett.
