Football Manager 2023 is just around the corner, with brand new headline features set to be announced in the coming days.
With that in mind, it's not only gameplay features that have been revealed, but also official licenses.
The Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League have all been captured by FM this year, but a swoop for the Premier League champions may just be the most impressive of all.
Check below to find out everything you need to know about Manchester City and Sports Interactive's brand new license deal.
Man City X Football Manager 2023
Manchester City have been shifting their attentions to the world of gaming for some time, going as far as to reveal this year's third kit exclusively through Roblox.
It would appear that their gaming reach extends further, with the current Premier League title holders confirming a new deal with Sports Interactive, which will see the Citizens be fully licensed in Football Manager 2023.
The deal will see Sports Interactive, developers of Football Manager, becoming an official partner of Manchester City, bringing new eyes to the blossoming product.
As many FM players will know, the Premier League is NOT officially licensed in FM23 and, currently, Manchester City will be the only team that will appear in authentic form in this year's game.
Special Edition Inbound?
Manchester City aren't the first team to take a slice of the Football Manager cake, with sides like Leicester and Southampton also agreeing to previous deals with Sports Interactive.
On those occasions, both Premier League sides received special editions of the game, with fans able to experience the club in fully licensed form through pre-ordering this unique edition.
No sides were recipients of a special edition deal when Football Manager 2022 launched, but we wouldn't be surprised if a Manchester City special edition of Football Manager 2023 became available soon.
