Players to Sign

Favourable upcoming fixtures for some of the league's leading sides could make for a high average Gameweek 16 score.

Forwards

The Premier League's leading goal-scorer Erling Haaland (£12.1m) has returned from a slight foot injury and is our number one captaincy pick for GW16.

The Norwegian netted the winning goal from the penalty spot against Fulham in Gameweek 15.

Harry Kane (£11.6m) is another standout captaincy option for Gameweek 16, having blanked only three times this season after scoring against Liverpool in GW15.

Spurs will host a Leeds side that conceded three goals in their last fixture against Bournemouth.

One man who was on target in that game was Dominic Solanke (£5.7m), who offers brilliant value for his upcoming home fixture against Everton.

Despite failing to score in his last four league outings, Liverpool summer signing Darwin Nunez (£8.9m) is a great differential for GW16 as the Reds host manager-less Southampton.

The Uruguayan seemed to finally click with Mohamed Salah (£12.7m) in their last match against Spurs, picking up an assist and 7 points.

Midfielders

The aforementioned Mohamed Salah (£12.7m) looks to be back to his best, having netted a brace against Spurs in his last match.

Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise (£5.4m) is owned by a mere 0.2 per cent of managers for the Eagles' visit to Nottingham Forest in GW16.

The French youngster produced an assist against Wolves in Gameweek 12 and scored in a 2-1 win over West Ham United last time out.

Dejan Kulusevski (£8.0m) made an instant impact in his first appearance since Gameweek 8 last weekend.

The Sweed emerged from the bench midway through the second half to assist Harry Kane (£11.6m) for the forward's goal in the 2-1 defeat to Liverpool.

Morgan Gibbs-White (£5.5m) scored once and supplied an assist in a 2-2 draw with Brentford last weekend, amassing a 13-point haul.

Forest host Palace in GW16 and all of Gibbs-White's attacking returns this season, one goal and three assists, have come in home fixtures.

Defenders

Despite receiving a red card in GW15, Manchester City full-back Joao Cancelo (£7.4m) is back having served a one-match ban in the Carabao cup in mid-week.

The Portugal international, who has six clean sheets, two goals and two assists to his name so far this season, is a genuine captaincy option for GW16 as City play Brentford at the Etihad.

A Liverpool defender is a must-have ahead of their home fixture v Southampton, with Trent Alexander Arnold (£7.2m), Andrew Robertson (£6.7m) and Virgil van Dijk (£6.5m) all viable options.

We advise you to start Kieran Trippier (£5.9m), despite the Magpies GW16 fixture against Chelsea, as we think Fantasy Premier League's highest-scoring defender could be about to extend his lead at the top.
